Boardwalk Villas

I have read several review about the BW studios that were not good. We are booked into one the 8th of May. How bad are they? Or can anyone let me know that they are decent? TIA

I've stayed in them as a DVC member and was always satisfied. There is a queen bed and double sleeper sofa. In the kitchenette there is a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker. There are glasses & coffee mugs, paper plates & plastic utensils. Rumor has it that there will be renovations in 2009.

We stay in a studio at BW about once every month or two. We have never had a problem with our rooms, and find the location to be great. Not sure what type of view you booked, if any, but we have stayed in 3007 several times and love it because it has a nice view of the BW and Epcot

the boardwalk villas are my favorite along with the beach club. always have a great time at both, but prefer the boardwalk

I don't know what you mean by "not good". The studio units are essentially the same as you'll find at BCV, VWL and SSR. We've never had a problem there.

The BWV studios are lovely. I've stayed in them as a DVC member and not had a problem at all, the room was in tip-top condition and housekeeping did an excellent job.

Just because you see a handful of reports of problems, doesn't mean that the entire resort is 'bad' or that most guests have problems. People like to post about the bad stuff. No one puts up a post that says "I stayed in a studio at BWV and it was in exactly the condition it's supposed to be in."

Thanks for all the replies! I had heard to try and stay at the hotel because the rooms at the villas are in poor shape and very small. I'm staying there anyway since I traded through II and it only cost me $199 for the week. The following week we traded into Sarotoga Springs.
