Boardwalk Villas vs Saratoga

As an non-owner and having stayed at each place only once, SSR was our favorite hands down. We loved the pool, the close proximity to DD, the food court option and now they have a restaurant. Our room was exactly similar to BWV. The things we didn't like about BWV - long haul to our room, long haul to pool, long haul to the boardwalk just to eat or grab snacks...no food court for fast meals and the pool wasn't as great as we thought it was going to be. BWV may have the "location" but I think I'd rather stay at SSR anyday!

I am aware that the boat goes to Epcot from the Beach club but the boat landing is at the Yacht Club, if you are staying at the Beach Club Villas it is no advantage to walk away from Epcot to take the boat. In fact Epcot is probably closer to BCV than the boat dock is. So to go to Epcot from BCV the only viable option is to walk.

From the BW you have the boat and depending on where your room is that is a long walk to the boat ramp. Some rooms are closer to walk to MGM, than again walking away from the park to catch the boat. Bus to AK and MK is equal. I think the visual location of BW and BC near Epcot and MGM is outstanding, but after staying at both resorts I am not impressed with transportation options over any other DVC resort. I love being able to look out my door at SSR and see the bus stop. Great when its raining.

Great resorts are both, but we prefer to be close to our transportation, whether it be our car or a bus and we prefer to have a CS with in building dining with a large sit down area. I will say that BW and BC have a wonderful location for FS dining.

That is why DVC is great in that everyone can decide what is important to them. The OP can't go wrong with either choice.

When we decided to buy, we finally picked SSR over BWV. While BWV has good access to Epcot and MGM, we knew that we would take a bus ride for 4 to 8 hours at a park. However, we would not take a bus ride to go to DTD. By going with SSR, we can walk to DTD and Pleasure Island every evening if we want.
