Boardwalk villas or Beach Club?

Okay, we are planning our Aug. 2005 vacation with a 5 and 2 year old and have NEVER stayed on Disney property. The amount of research and information is so overwhelming!
We are getting a 2 bedroom suite since we are travelling with my husband's parents. We have the Boardwalk villa on hold but are now considering the Beach Club - what do you think?

Both are nice resorts but I think the pool at the BC would be nicer for the little children. Sab has a sandy bottom and a very shallow area with mini beach for the children to play in. My DGD was 2 when we went last May and she really enjoyed the pool didn't want to leave.

At ages 5 and 2 the kids won't care. The room layouts are the same, so that's a wash. For the adults, take the Boardwalk, more to do, and if the kids get tired you're close to your room.

If you plan on making use of a poll BC's pool is awesome. BUt if the pool isn't that big of deal, the pool at Boardwalk is good too but SAB seems more child oriented. One ything I must say about the Boardwalk pool is it has the face of a clown so if your children are scared of clowns, I'd use the quiet pool. ( I was afraid of clowns when I was little)

Boardwalk is awesome, we stayed there for our honeymoon in Oct. but I'm not sure I'd stay there with children. But thats me.

If you can get into BC, I would but if not Boarwalk is an awesome resort too

We love BWV, that's why we bought there. But we are trying out BCV in June. If your little ones are swimmers, I would suggest BCV. The sandy bottom pool is pretty nice. The other thing to keep in mind at BCV vs. BWV is that you pretty much have to go outside to get to any restuarants at BWV...at BCV you can walk inside and get to the places you want eat at. That's a big deal when it's pouring rain and you have two little ones in tow!!!!

I vote for the Boardwalk! Our kids were 2 and 4 this past October and we all absolutely LOVED the place. There is a lot of action going on, which our kids enjoyed. There are street performers, an ice cream parlor, and games. The pool was terrific even though it is not zero entry. They had a neat kiddie wading pool right next to the main pool. The hotel itself is ornate and well themed. Beautiful.

We went over to BC a few times too. They have a neat pool too. The atmosphere felt more slow and relaxed there. It is a very pretty resort. We thought of staying here but we thought we would miss the excitement of the BW.

I think your kids would be happy at either but IMHO we love the Boardwalk :cloud9:
