Hi, all!
We are staying at the BWV in May. On our Epcot day we are wanting to skip FW and stay at the hotel by the pool in the morning, then head over to WS when they open at 11. Only thing is that I can't figure out where we will be able to get a quick breakfast before going to the pool! I know about Boardwalk Bakery, but not sure if we want that. I am having a hard time trying to figure out what hotels are in the inn/villas and what are along the Boardwalk. The only restaurant I can find in the hotel would be Belle Vue Lounge, but it says it only has pastries and I was hoping for something more than that. Any suggestions? Any idea how far the Bakery really is from the villas? Thanks!

Hi. Cat Cora has an EXCELLENT :thumbsup2 breakfast menu and is located right on the Boardwalk. We had breakfast there twice during a 5 night stay at the BWV in March. Joan

You can also try Cape May cafe at the Beach Club, it's walking distance from the BWV, it's also a fun character breakfast for the kids :)

The Bakery will be no more than 5 minute walk or less. Belle Vue Lounge is more like continental breakfast. Kouzzina(next door to the Bakery) has a great breakfast, and opens at 7:30 AM if I am not mistaken. (we will be there 1st week of May and plan to have breakfast at Kouzzina a couple times) See the following for Boardwalk map. Villas are on the left, Inn rooms on the right. It is a 5-10 minute walk to Epcot from ESPN Club.

The Boardwalk Bakery itself is located just before the ESPN Club and it would be on the Inn side of the Boardwalk, so from the Villas section I guess it depends on how close your room will be to the elevator to the lobby and then walking onto the Boardwalk.

Although we've never done this, some posters have spoken positively about breakfast at some of the restaurants at the Swan or Dolphin. Perhaps they'll chime in.

I think the Belle Vue Lounge is in the hotel. There is a tiny gift shop in the hotel near the lobby. You have to go out on the BoardWalk for everything else.

That's one of the reasons I personally prefer BCV to BWV.

When you go out on the BoardWalk, the gift shop down there has a grocery section. Since you're staying in the villas, you can pick stuff up and leave it in your room to eat later, if you like.

I ask on another thread about Boma for our departure day as we are staying AKV. We can't do it and make our flight. So the day before we will be picking something from one of the bakeries for breakfast and storing it our room. Inlaws and Nephew are also staying with us for a few days of our trip so not sure if we will have enough food by the end of the week.

Hm. I did want to try Kouzina's. Maybe we'll do that. Thanks!
I do have another question, is Belle Vue Lounge the only place to refill the mugs? We'll be on the deluxe plan and have the mugs and I'm not sure where we can fill them at if there is no food court or QS restaurant on site.

Have eaten at Captains Grille for lunch and was very good!

Heard though that Captains Grille has a good breakfast and relatively "inexpensive" as far as on property breakfast goes!

Enjoy!:cool1:

I really need protein for breakfast, so I struggled with the lack of a food court at the Beach Club last October. I ate at all 3 TS places that have been mentioned, all with 7:30 ADR's because I love my rope drop. They were all yummy.

I think my favorite was Captain's Grille, as the buffet was smaller and easier to manage and less expensive. They also have a menu you can order from. Cape May had a bigger buffet and the characters were more interactive than I expected with a solo adult. Kouzzina was interesting and different. I had pancakes with blueberries and citrus in them, really delicious.

So, you can't go wrong with any of the three in my experience. And, I was able to make 9 am rope drops from each one, too.

But the Beach Club does have the Marketplace, if the OP is in a hurry, with hot breakfast sandwiches and yogurt, fruit and granola parfaits. Here's the menu from allearsnet...

Breakfast 7 - 11 a.m.

Ham and Cheese Omelet Croissant $5.99
Cheese Omelet Croissant $4.81
Made to Order Yogurt Parfait $4.49
Fresh Baked Pastries $2.19 - $3.59

Thanks for the info! I'm staying at YC in September and I'm also one of those people that needs protein for breakfast.

Kouzzina!!! We LOVE the breakfast here :)

Also, we enjoy the bakery for their yummy baked goods.

Just got back from the BV this week. We ate at Cat Cora's Kouzzina every morning. It is right next to the BV on the actual Boardwalk. There is great Sweet potato hash as well as regular omlettes and waffles, pancakes, etc. We made reservations every morning just to be safe, but it never seemed it was too full that you couldn't just walk in. Food is great and on the Dining Plan if you go that way.

Good luck and have a nice trip.

I think I missed this. Will you be in a studio or 1BR? You can buy breakfast supplies at the Screen Door and make your own breakfast. Even if it's a studio, you can toast bread or bagels and have cream cheese, cereal with milk, or get lunch meat and have ham and cheese on toast. You can have a leisurely morning that way.

We bought egg and cheese croissants one day from the Boardwalk bakery and didn't think they were that great. Of course, we also had to get a pastry for everyone, so our breakfast ended up costing us over $40 for four of us. If you're going to buy that much food, then I'd say go to Captain's Grille or Kouzzina and get some real food!
