im arriving in 3 weeks. I booked standard view because I read those rooms were being renovated first. But lately I've seen they are the last block to be renovated. Any idea how far along the renovation of the standard view rooms are? (I booked for my sister and my mom as well and to,d them the rooms would be renovated)Also I was considering renting a car to get to MK and AK- but I read that parking is terrible and very inconvenient at the resort. Any info would be great. Thanks!

Hi we are here now..it looks like the standard views are renovated on the 4th and 5th floors....as far as the parking, we have not had an issue..the guard at the gate is turning away many cars, anyone not staying on property or with a confirmed reservation...they have a sign....there is also a guard at the entrance to the parking lot...both lots are open

Palhockeymomof2, did you happen to see that rooms were done on the upper floors? There are so many conflicting reports.

Walked around this morning....the rooms are done on the 5th floor.....
on all other floors they are done with the wing to the left when you get off the elevators...heading towards the boardwalk view rooms...
on the 4th floor it looks like the main long hallway to the right is complete...both standard views and pool views...but they are still working the the hallway of rooms that overlook the main pool on one side and quiet pool on the other on both the 3rd and 4th floors....I haven't walked all the way down the 1st and 2nd floor standard view hallway but the carpet has not been replaced and from the elevators there is no sign of construction.

They are also painting the front of the building...where the standard view rooms are

Thanks for the update. We will be there in a couple of weeks in a standard view. I requested an upper floor and I hope we get it. Enjoy the rest of your vacation and thanks again for taking time out to check out the rooms.

We are on the second floor now. NO work being done down here now but they are working outside using equipment in the rooms above. We were told the next couple weeks will be still be focused on the 4th floor standard studios.

We just checked out this morning. They are doing standard view now. We had a non renovated 1 bedroom on 2nd floor. It was in good shape tho. I think they have very few standards done yet. We heard them working on one of the wings by quiet pool. Luckily not above our room. We were in 2117.

We had a rental for one day for grocery run. No problem parking.

Here too. Requested high floor but got second floor not renovated. Only 5th floor and finishing up 4th floor as of last week. We will be here another week. Also they are painting on the outside of the standard rooms. We can't use our balcony during work hours. They are moving towards the bus stop view rooms as of Friday. We face the drive way

I was just in 1099 std view studio. There are cleaning and painting along that side of the building. Their bucket trucks were parked right outside our patio. It was strange to get up in the morning and see them right outside our window. I almost felt like inviting them in for coffee! The room wasn't renovated but still in good condition. I had a renovated studio on the 5th floor earlier in Oct. I think it was 5095. The beige carpet was already stained.

We're currently in a 1bd std view on the 4th floor and were the first guests to stay in this room. we arrived Thursday. We didn't get our room ready text until about 4:30 and when we finally did get in and get our luggage the bellman who delivered said to take an inventory and let housekeeping know if they'd missed restocking anything. As it happened the disposer and dishwasher didn't have power, but that was fixed after a few calls (probably a breaker left off). We like the theming and especially like the new safe and vanity mirror.

Will be there in 2 weeks, will report back what we have and what we can see! We are also staying in a standard view studio.

Here also in a first floor standard. The room is not renovated but in very good condition.

We are down by the tennis courts which is my preferred location.

Parking was fine so far - there were still plenty of spaces each time, both on arrival and later last evening when we returned abut 5 pm.

Our room was ready at about 10 am, so we were able to drop our bags and leave for the day.

Walked around Epcot last evening - it was pretty crowded, but I didn't see any exceptionally long lines at the food booths.

Picked up a sampler package and treated myself to a Limoncello frozen margarita using the first tab at the Italy booth and then used the Eat To The Beat tab to get a seat for the 6:45 concert. It was cool and refreshing while I watched Everclear, whom I had never heard of. The weather was hot (90) and muggy yesterday, hope it cools a bit. If it stays hot I may just buy 7 more of those frozen drinks with my tabs this week!

I did not ask for a renovated room or a high floor to increase chances. I'm sure there are plenty of people who need the extra sleeping space for a child of the new drop down bed. There are only two of us so the extra space and table actually works better. Plus the fridge still has the freezer compartment. We moved over here from the Polynesian Villas where we had the new style fridge with no freezer.

This is turning into a trip report so I'm going to make some coffee.

Anyone staying in a pool/garden view studio? That's what we have in three weeks...wondering the status of those villas as far as renovated or not.

I was lookng at the weather and it does look hot down there! Hoping it stays a little warm for us in 2 weeks. Enjoy your stay! This trip is our first without bringing any of our kids!

We are in room 2058, pool view studio right over the breezeway facing the pool. Pretty much a perfect location for us. Room is great, all renovated and we have a pretty big balcony. I feel like we really lucked out this time, close to lobby, elevators, Boardwalk, buses, etc.
We just did a split stay starting at BLT and the BWV room feels like we have twice the space. Our daughter is loving the Murphy bed!

We just got home last night. We were in a pool view studio on the 5th floor. The room was renovated. It looked like they were working on some pool view rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor still. There was a block of rooms that had no curtains and never had any lights on at night. They would have been on the back side of the clown water slide.

We were in and out of the room more on this trip. We didn't hear a lot of construction noise. Just a little hammering and sawing, but it was not a big deal.

I don't like the fold down bed/table combo at all! The table is basically worthless as a place to sit and eat. It's so uncomfortably small. You have to sit right up next to the tv. We pulled out the bed and the couch bed too see how it all looked when the beds were all set up, and we felt it was much too crowded. Thankfully it was just the 2 of us so we didn't need to leave the beds open.

We went and toured the poly bungalows and studios. Those are really nice! The studio rooms have so much more space.

We are doing the same split! Two days BLT and then 4 days BWV.

We checked out of 3075 - standard 1 bedroom - on Wednesday. It was close to the elevators and overlooked the front entrance and airline check-in. It had not been refurbed. Although there was someone painting on our balcony one morning, we had no issue whatever with noise.

We checked in Sunday, and at first we were told our room was on 3rd floor. We had booked std studio. We asked for a higher floor, and were given 4125, a renovated studio. I have to say, we are very pleased with our room, it is lovely. We are down the dreaded long hallway, but we love it! It is super quiet down here, and I really do not think it is that far from the elevator. We can see Tower of Terror from our balcony, and the walking path to HS. There is a wing still being worked on and is closed off on the 4th floor. We haven't heard any construction noise, or any noise from neighbors. We love it here! We booked at exactly 7 months, and can't believe what a bargain it is! We will definitely stay here again

Just received a letter about renovating villas and exterior painting and balcony maintenance. "There is a possibility of loud noise at times" per letter.
I didn't get a letter for our Boardwalk view room only our std studio. I'm looking for recommendation on a area I can request to
try and have less noise. We will be there from 10/17-10/23
