Boardwalk Villas 1 Bedroom on Cash and Points Room View?

Good Morning,

I have a question....I am trying to piece together a reservation using Points and booking cash through Disney World since all nights aren't available on points and hoping for the best shot to not have to switch rooms. With that being said, I am pretty sure that booking a 1 bedroom standard view through Disney World is equal to a pool/garden view through DVC correct?

Hmm, no personal experience but the website says standard view: Views of Resort Grounds or Parking Area. Kinda sounds like it varies from standard to pool/garden.

I don't believe you can book DVC standard or Boardwalk view with cash. They are reserved for points bookings. On WDW for cash bookings the standard they mention means Pool/Garden. Unless they changed something or they have their room quota to use up.
Also I don't think points and cash bookings can be linked.
Someone else would know more.

You can't link cash and points, no.

Generally, cash is almost always Pool/Garden, but they describe it as the least-best view so that they can put someone wherever, and if it ends up Standard that person isn't angry, but if it's actual P/G, then they think they got a better unit than booked and are happy.

Booked a 1 bedroom at the BWV on cash and got a fantastic pool view.
