We have stayed @BCV the lasst two years and love it there. We bought Aps this year and want to go back in Nov. or Dec. At this point we can only get a AAA rate but only for the boardwalk. My question is this if we get a room facing the actual boardwalk can you here noise from the crowd below and do you get all those restuarant smells in the room? If you have stayed at both what do you think the pros and cons of each are? Thanks for the help in advance.

I love my view from BCV - Spaceship Earth.

You can't get a BW view if you are using cash and going through CRO. DVC member only can reserve a BW view using points only - not cash.

now if you are renting points - then the BW view can be noisey - at night when the BW is up and going. Sometimes when the clubs close. Also the boats blew a whistle that can be very noisey.

the views are very nice!

I like BCV better - not so busy - more laid back.

If you like to party you will love BWV -if you don't I would stick with BCV.

Besides the Clown will never (in my opinion) be better than SALB.

I agree with spiceycat - you can't get a Boardwalk view at the BWV if you are booking through CRO. Those rooms are reserved for DVC members paying with points.

We've stayed in a room overlooking the Boardwalk and if you keep the balcony doors closed, it is not noisy. You will probably still hear the horns from the Friendship boats in the morning, though. You will definitely hear the "booms" from" IllumiNations as well.

We've had the boardwalk view twice (we are members) and did hear noise from people late at night. It didn't cause a real problem, though.

You could get a water view at the Boardwalk Inn, which is not DVC.
