I'm soooo jealous!!! I've always wanted a BW view! Did you switch day by day or one time at the 7 month mark?
One day I want - 1st floor, BW view, next to Jellyrolls

Many folks do not think the BW view is worth the extra points. We LOVE the view and always book it if it is available. There is something about waking up to the sight of Spaceship Earth with a fresh cup of coffee, the first Friendship boats on the lake in the morning and nightly Illuminations fireworks from your balcony that has us hooked. Hope that you love the BW view as much as we do.

I think the best view I have had has been a boardwalk view. overlooking the grass area in front of the boat dock. It was outstanding.

BW views are great - we have had a BW view once from one of the single floor Grand Villas - top floor above the BWV Grocery and Sundries store - was amazing

Due to high points may be the one and only time we stay in a BWV GV

The BW view is by far the best view I've had anywhere/anytime at a resort at WDW. Within BWV, the pool/garden view I had was terrible, definitely not worth any extra over Standard view. But NOTHING comes near that BW view.

I agree. It's not just one of the best DVC views but one of the best at WDW. Take a look:

Yep, BW view is the best view ever. Just look at HBC's picture post! Our's was equally magnificent. Hey, there's a reason they reserve them for DVC members staying on point ONLY. IMO, BW view even makes it worth it to pay high weekend point rates.

Is there a point difference for a preferred pool/garden view and a boardwalk view? the point charts i have break down to only standard and preferred views....

no point difference btwn garden/pool and Boardwalk views
I called a month ago and was waitlisted for either BCV or BWV. I didnt specify view. They called and asked if we wanted to be switched from garden/pool to Boardwalk and I jumped on it. Spoke w/MS today about 2 cash discount nights in Aug and confirmed that yes I do have a guaranteed Boardwalk view 2nights in March

BW view is by far the best. I have had it once so far and it is great to just go out on my balcony and sit, relax and enjoy the view, day or night.

Yes. There are 3 guaranteed views: standard, preferred pool/garden, and boardwalk. The latter 2 require the same number of points while standard is fewer points.

Now you guys have me excited. I just bought into the BWV and booked a BW view for 10 days in early November for the F&W. I've never even stayed at the BWV...this will be my first trip home. How are the rooms...we have a 1 bedroom reserved for me, DW, and the liitle DD6 and DD4. Hope they like it..for me thats what its all about.
