Boardwalk view noisy?

I was on the 5th floor on the corner by the boat dock and the only outside noise I heard was the boat horn. Actually, it became my alarm clock, the first boat pulls in at 8:00am.

Thanks Debbie, I'm actually waiting now to reserve and trying to decide what preferred view to request.

We stayed on the fourth floor overlooking the blue & white striped tent area. We did not find it noisy as long as the balcony doors were shut. Since it was quite cool when we were there (last December, they were shut unless we were on them watching IlumiNations - the holiday tag was just awesome. Never seen anything quite like it)! Hope they do it again. We were always up long before the first boat horn (kids, LOL), so that didn't bother us at all. Don't even remember hearing it.

Best wishes -

We just returned :sad2: and had a third floor right at the water pistol game. We would hear the ding when somebody won, but it wasn't objectionable. If fact I was kind of surprised that it was so quiet.

Coach Rick,
Could you hear the "ding" inside when the balcony doors were closed?

We also heard the boat horn and the "ding" from the carnival games. They boat horn actually became a little joke during our week long stay..... The "dig" from the carnival games did get annoying after a while, especially since the games are open until 11PM and our kids were in bed before that. It did sometimes make it difficult for them to fall asleep. We were on the 5th floor also, and the balcony doors were always closed.

You can definitely hear (when they exist) some of the more "boisterous" people out on the boardwalk in the late evening/early morning hours (from 11PM when the games close to post-Jellyrolls perambulators) from the third floor down.

Just last week, there was quite a screaming uproar for about 20 minutes when someone got engaged. (It seems alcohol was involved, based on the staggering I observed. Kinda makes me wonder whether the question was still considered "popped" the next day!! :teeth: )

...we had a concierge room with a huge balcony, right above the Flying Fish. And yep, around 9:30, things were really hopping down on the boardwalk. And around 10:00. And even later.

There was an oompah band playing right under our window. We wanted to go to bed, to take advantage of Early Morning the next day. My wife called the management to find out how late the music would be oom-pah-ing, and they said they finish about 10:30. Sure enough, around 10:30, they packed it in and called it a night.

It got quiet after that. And we slept soundly.

But if peace and quiet is what you're after, a room over the boardwalk is NOT the place to be ;)
