How hard is it to reserve a boardwalk view Christmas thru New Years at the 11 month window? I know the standard views at BWV go quickly but what about the boardwalk views? Are some boardwalk views better than others and can they be requested?

Everything is available at 8AM 11 months out if you own there and reserve day by day but I am sure it goes quickly. Good Luck. :wizard:

I made the mistake this year of waiting to book all of our 7 days for Dec. 3 - 10 at the 11 month mark of checkout. We did not get 2 of the days. We were on the waitlist until just recently and finally decided to just split our stay between a standard view and BW view room. SO-O-O, just be sure to call day by day for your ressie when it is at a busy time.
We have stayed in lots of BW view rooms and all have been good. If anything, the rooms farthest from the elevators may have a slightly better view of Epcot fireworks. Higher floors may also be a tiny bit better fireworks view. But the differences are so slight that it is not worth worrying about.
Hope you like BW view as much as we do. For us it is definitely worth the extra points. When I am having tough times I escape mentally to a cup of coffee early in the morning on my BW view balcony, watching an illuminated Spaceship Earth in the brightening sky and listening for the sound of the first Friendship boats coming to take happy families to MGM and Epcot. My idea of serenity!

I think the BWV units go faster than SV.

Take it from this seven year BWV owner and veteran: day by day booking at exactly the 11 month window is always the way to go if you want BW view for any time of year.

Are you a DVC owner?

if your not a DVC owner you can't get BWview or standard. they are reserved for owners. BWview is not available on cash ressie.
sometimes it can be done but don't count on it.

you can rent from a BWV owner and try to get BWv at 11 months.

you can rent from any DVC resort owner but they can only try to book at 7 months. no chance

Some chance. We own at VWL and SSR and have a reservation during the F&W festival next month at BWL with a boardwalk view that I made at 7 months withouth having to waitlist. I had my choice of views. Since we haven't tried boardwalk view I figured why not.

the OP was asking about XMAS and New Years. Other times of the yr won't be as hard. :goodvibes

BW view is OUTSTANDING.

Well, it CAN be. We had BW view and were on the ground floor next to the old sales center. It was not that whoopee as being on higher floors, most of which are taken up with the 3 br villas.
