Boardwalk versus boardwalk villas?

Hi,

For my dates this summer, a studio at boardwalk villas (dvc) is a little cheaper than a regular room at boardwalk (non-dvc). Is there any reason I should go with the regular room over the villa room? We’re 2 adults so the bed situation is fine in either. I might use the kitchenette if I had it, but it’s also not important to me. I’m doing a standard view at either one.

Should I save a few bucks and go with the villa? Is there a major difference? The rooms are slightly cuter at Boardwalk, but that’s the only difference I can tell.

Thanks!

With the Villa's really the only difference is you would not receive daily mousekeeping services....if that does not matter to you, and you think that you would use the little kitchenette, it would make sense to save the money - aside from that one little detail there really is not much difference - same access and same amenities.

Are you paying cash directly through Disney? Or renting points for BWV through a DVC owner?

Points stays in the villas don’t include daily mousekeeping, although they do remove trash daily. Cash reservations on the villa side are supposed to receive daily mousekeeping. There is no charge for parking if staying on points, but there is a nightly parking fee for cash reservations. If there’s no car involved, it’s a moot point.

The villas are located on the side of the building closer to Hollywood Studios and the tennis courts, the hotel side is closer to Epcot.
All the rooms (hotel and villas) share the same amenities like pools, fitness center, transportation.

Such a great resort and location! You can’t go wrong with either choice.

That's my vote! With only 2 adults, you can keep the sofa intact and the room will feel much bigger. You also get the kitchenette with a full-size coffee maker - that's a bonus for me. If paying cash through Disney, you will get daily housekeeping just as you would if you booked on the resort side. I also find the villas side of BW to be quieter than the resort side and, if you use the stairs, you'll be closer to the DHS path. We love the villas!

agree with the studio. I'm not sure if they have updated BWV yet, the only thing I didn't like about the studio was it seemed a little smaller than the regular room and at the time I stayed in one, it really needed some love. I actually sent a message to my hubby saying I'd be upset if I was a DVC owner and paid for that.
