Boardwalk to Hollywood Studios

Each of the 3 different colored Skyliner legs needs to transfer at CBR before continuing on to another color.

If you’re at the BW Inn (right side of the photo), the boat dock is close by, so the boat might be convenient for saving your feet, even if not quicker. OTOH, if you’re over on the BW Villas side in one of the wings at the bottom left of the map, walking to DHS is quicker and likely shorter than walking to the BW boat dock. If you’re in the BW Villas wing at the top of the map, you can consider walking across the waterway on the left to catch the boat at the Swan/Dolphin dock, but still it would be quicker to walk.

Skyliner is a great option

A great option for a scenic route.
Not a great option for a quick route
And a horrible option if it's park opening or closing.
Have you seen the lines at CBR? I got there once and they were so bad we walked over and called for an Uber instead of doing a transfer to our resort.
If you got lots of time to kill, by all means it can be fun

Start of the day we had no line @ Skyliner IG-DHS. Honestly didn't figure out how to get to the walking path until our check-out day. Now we do - the path goes right by the Clown Pool. then follows the water - easy.
End of the day we had no line for Skyliner, DHS-IG - easy choice with tired feet. YMMV, but you'll see it at DHS and can decide if you want to wait for the boat or want to walk if there is a line. There was a huge line @ IG to go the other way though.
