and the ugly?? I would like to hear it all. Never stayed, considering on our next trip. My one reservation is the noise factor, it seems like it would be really busy over in that area. Beach Club pool is being rehabbed so that is out. Swan/Dolphin is booked and no good discounts. Contemp is booked. This is our fourth choice. We like to stay in the Epcot area. Can you convince me it will be a good idea to try the Boardwalk? I don't hear much chatter on the boards about this resort.

It wasn't our first choice either, but ended up at BWI in May. Very nice resort, the location is great for Epcot and the studios.
We didn't notice any noise from the clubs or activity at the Boardwalk, although our neighbors were a little loud.;)

I stayed there a few weeks ago and I loved it. We were overlooking the garden/courtyard area and it was pretty quiet there. The room was very clean and well decorated and the CMs were very nice. The location of course is amazing! You can walk to both epcot and mgm.

The only downside for me is the fast food options. I wish they had a place like The Mara or Captain Cooks. There is the take out window at Spoodles but I find the food over-priced and the pizza was gross (in my opinion of course).

Overall it's a coneveniant, comfortable, and fun place to stay.

You don't hear about it much because those of us who have found it and loved it want to keep it a secret SHHHH.

Seriously - it's my family's favorite because of DH - location, kids - pool and theme, me - well it's disney so I'm happy!!

We liked the BWV, but I found it a bit bland. The location cannot be beat. I don't recall it being noisy at all. In fact, we ventured out about 10:00 pm one evening and the place was DEAD! We figured there would be a lot of action with ESPN Club, Jelly Rolls, etc., but nothing.

In fact, now that I think about it, we may be the types that people complain about.:rockband:

Thanks I think we are going with Boardwalk and you all made me feel better. DH likes the fact that we can walk to MGM or Epcot, espcially with his Mom in a scooter.

We love the BW! This will be our third stay in a row at BWV. We love the location, the entertainment and restaurants on hand.

If you like EPCOT and MGM, the BWV or BWI. You can walk to both parks, there are a lot of dining options (even if you don't count EPCOT), and the activies available around the Boardwalk.

The BWI is a deluxe hotel while the BWV features "suites" and is part fo the Disney Vacation Club.

If you are concerned about noise at either resort from the Boardwalk just get a non-Boardwalk view room.
