Hi All!
We are planning a trip in April and want to try the Boardwalk for the first time. We plan on doing club level but can't decide between standard or deluxe club. Any opinions? Is it work the extra money? (There are five of us in the family.)

Also - what type of view do the club rooms have at the Boardwalk? Is it of the lagoon or the river?

Thank you!!

The extra room is nice especially with that many people. We are a family of three then my DD always brings a friend. This year however we opted for a regular club room Boardwalk view and are using the money saved for the Wild Africa Trek, Caring For Giants, and Ultimate Thrills Tour. If we miss the extra room we will switch back next year but we wanted to try new things after 14 trips. Your can't go wrong with either!

We have done both with four people and the extra room in the Deluxe was very nice. The deluxe rooms have a boardwalk view with rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor. We choose the 3rd floor because the balcony was larger and our room was right above Seashore Sweets. The stairway to the 4th floor was very close so access to the club lounge was easy.

The standard room views can be of the boardwalk (lagoon) or a garden view. I asked for a boardwalk view but that was not guaranteed.

For you, it may come down to deciding if the extra space and is worth the extra cost. Either way, you can't go wrong.

The deluxe at BWI is worth it in my opinion. Unlike some of the other deluxe rooms, it really is more like 2 separate rooms. You can really spread out more & the couch makes into a big extra bed. And there are 2 tvs!

I have been in this room and I love sleeping on the couch staring across the water at the view.

DW stayed in a BWI Deluxe Room earlier this year. She was on the third floor, which as someone else noted has larger balconies than the fourth floor. Her only complaint was getting to the lounge, which was a bit of a hike. She eventually found a 'secret staircase' which made the trek much easier.

Here are some (not so great) pics!

I booked a standard, non-club room for my last solo trip in May and was surprised with a free pixie dust upgrade to deluxe club. It was amaaaazing. 4th floor, right over the Boardwalk Bakery. I couldn't believe the size of the room, especially since it was two queen beds, a foldout couch, a chair and a desk - just for me! The balcony was small, but I didn't actually spend much time sitting out there. Instead, I would sit on the couch with the balcony door open, allowing for a slight breeze and all the sounds of the Boardwalk at night. I spent 7 nights there and I ended every single day enjoying the view from the couch and listening to the boats, the music from Jellyrolls and the laughter and conversations from the people below. This was my 5th solo trip and the room alone made it the best. I'm highly spoiled now. :rotfl:

But I would definitely recommend deluxe if you can swing the price.

With 5 people, I would definitely recommend the deluxe room. It's a good amount of space.

We booked a regular club room. We asked for a BW view, but but a nice view of the courtyard instead. I wish there was an option to book either garden or BW.

With 5 people I would book the deluxe room if at all possible. For us, the more room the better.

Wow! Thanks to your description, I can totally imagine it! How awesome and thank you for sharing!

We love the deluxe rooms and stay in them whenever we stay at the BWI. We love the Boardwalk view - and we never have any issue with the noise. The room is so nice and big.
