Is there rides at the Boardwalk resort like a large wooden roller coaster?

No, but they do have a pool slide themed to resemble a roller coaster and the pool bar looks like a carousel.

No as others have indicated. However, many guests might be confused by what "looks" like a large wooden roller coaster at the Boardwalk.

The Boardwalk's themed swimming area is known as Luna Park, and features a large pool with a 200 foot water slide called the "Keister Coaster" that slide and the steps up to it look like a large white wooden roller coaster.

THE best resort slide on property!
Beach Club> Board Walk imo. Both are great slides though. However, I wish Disney would take the time to improve the slides at the deluxe resorts. With all the great slide technology out there now, Disney continues to keep fairly simple slides at their resorts. I'm not saying they need to put in mini-water parks, but I think they could do a bit more with the slides.

There should be some typical boardwalk type rides, like they have at the Jersey Shore. A ferris wheel, some kiddie "go in a circle" rides, maybe a haunted house/crazy shack thing. It would be awesome and should be part of the "plus" on the Park Hopper Plus. That's my opinion, anyway lol.

High tech wouldn't fit with the theming, plus the slide has to appeal to a very broad age range.

there isn't anywhere near enough room for any of those things

well at Boardwalk maybe not. Technology doesn't reduce the age range. I'm just saying they should have things like sound or images projected onto water falls that you go through on your way down. many of the slides are very simple. a quick twist and turn then into the water. They could easily do more.

Not something I want to see from my BWV balcony.

When I stayed at the boardwalk, our room looked directly at the clowns face .It was a little eerie at night all lit up. Haha! Good thing my kids weren't scared of clowns.

We also loved renting the Surrey bikes and riding around but there was one uphill that was a killer!!!

There was also a neat juggling/magic show on the boardwalk in the evening that my older kids got called up to participate in which was a blast .I don't think it needs rides too....just my opinion.

Agree with Marionnette. I definitely would not want to see or hear from my Boardwalk Inn view balcony either.
