Boardwalk Resort

For families that have stayed at the Boardwalk tell me your likes and dislikes. We are a family of 6 going over Thanksgiving and this will be the first time staying at this resort. I want all the good and bad about it.

We stayed there thru DVC, and had a great time. So close to all the venues around the lake, and also other resorts. Love the easy access to Epcot, and the fireworks view is great. The only negative I can remember is having to enter thru the lobby to access all rooms. The last thing I wanted to do after touring the parks was to walk my sweaty, smelly self thru a beautiful hotel lobby. Probably why I have never stayed at GF!!.

We love the Boardwalk - we have stayed there many times. We always had a boardwalk view. I love sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee in the morning. What we love the most is the easy walk to EPCOT and the boat to HS. Not sure how old your kids are but our kids love the movie on the boardwalk at night. Also we love the night time entertainment - jugglers, mimes, magicians, etc. We also love the bakery - we get either dessert or ice cream and sit and enjoy the down time. We also love to walk around to the BC/YC - it is a nice walk.

The only negative item to us isn't enough to stop us from going there but one negative is the lack of a big lobby to sit and talk. We love the lobby in the BC, GF, WL - the BW's just isn't that big. When we were at the BWI the last 2 times we stayed CL - so we didn't need breakfast so I can't comment on breakfast around there. If we are not CL we bring breakfast foods.
