Boardwalk Resale Info

Congratulations Dean! Thanks for all your input, especially your expert advice on II trading and timeshares in general .

Thanks for all the kind words and well wishes.

I talked with the closing agent today and DVC has indeed given their official okey dokey to this deal. Makes one wonder about the numbers floating around, doesn't it.

Boy, it sure does make you wonder doesn't it!!! Also makes me glad I have smaller packages that seem to do better on the resale market!!!

Congratulations, Dean. I think that sounds like a good deal.

Dean said: Well, we now have a contract for just over 300 points (December use year). The price is $54 pp with seller paying all closing including title insurance and no fees for 2002. There are no points until Dec available though.

Dean, glad it went through for you!

Question- are all 300 available December 2003? How many?

I'm trying to figure Disney's logic for letting it go at 54. Maybe they didn't want the contract if fewer points were available.

Thanks!

I just answered my own question by re-reading your post. Sorry. I meant how many available for Dec 2002 and you had post "all"! Good deal. So seven months without points is worth about $5.83 a point (using rental rate of $10/point), which would raise the effective price to $59.83 per point?

So, is there a link to their website and how did you learn of them? I saw you also referenced USAToday. Do you work with anyone specifically? Thanks. janet

Email me privately and I'll be happy to give that type of info. I'm not comfortable giving it directly, too much like advertising. The USA today was for the first contract and a few years ago.

While I agree with the point that the amount of points available have value, or lack of in this case. I pay no closing, no title insurance and no maint fees for this year. That puts it closer to $57 pp looking at it that way.

Cool Beans, Dean! (that almost rhymes)
