We hired Randy for our wedding and after the ceremony, we are wanting him to take some family and bridal party photos and then walk over to the Boardwalk to take photos of just my DF & I.

Does anyone have a rough idea of how long this might take?

We are having a cocktail hour following our ceremony to keep our guests busy and I am wondering if a 60 minute cocktail hour will be enough time to keep them busy while we are having our photos taken....or is 60 minutes too long in general for a cocktail hour? We are planning to serve 3 different hors d'oeuvres and alcohol.

Thanks!

It will take as long as you want it to take :) You can let Randy know what your time limit is, and he'll work within it. As a guest, I am not fond of the long cocktail hour, cuz it's always boring when the bride and groom aren't there, and I have to work at not spoiling my dinner! :teeth:

Thank you-that is really good advice!

I'm wondering if we should have our Boardwalk photos with Randy before the ceremony. I don;t really want to because I'm nervous about my hair messing up before the ceremony and I think I'll be too nervous in general at that time....I'm just thinking that 30 minutes will not be enough time to even make it to the Boardwalk area from the Swan (where our ceremony will be), much less take some photos.

Hmm...I wonder what do most girls do??? :confused3

I think you'll have plenty of time to get to the BoardWalk from the Swan - it seriously takes like 4 minutes to get there on foot. Also, you can ask your stylist to spray the H outta your hair and tell your DF not to touch it! :)
