Boardwalk Parking lot

Hey guys! We'd like to visit the boardwalk one day when we're not at the parks. Does the boardwalk itself have its own parking lot, or is it just resort parking? Is it a bad idea to visit by car?

It does have a lot but that lot is frequently available to resort guests only, or those with confirmed dining reservations. Even in the case of dining reservations I have heard of people being turned away (particularly on weekends or during festivals at Epcot). I wouldn’t count on being able to park there.

We’ve parked there 2 or 3 times to walk the boardwalk with no problem. We didn’t have a reservation and were staying at POR. Don’t be afraid to try.

Same experience with us. Simply explain to the guard at the booth what you'd like to do and you'll be fine (I'm assuming you are staying onsite at WDW, so show them your magic band).
