Boardwalk or Beachclub

I think it's just personal preference because they're both just right there and close to Epcot. I think you have to choose which has the theme you like and/or amenities. BC has a great pool if you think you'll use it, but I like the vibe at BW a little better.

DW and I love the Boardwalk. We stayed there many times over many years. We love the theming. We enjoy strolling the Boardwalk. It is plenty close enough to Epcot. We would usually wander over to Epcot every evening.

Unless you are interested in Stormalong Bay I think the Boardwalk is the best resort for adults.

After staying at both I would say Boardwalk especially if only two adults. Great atmosphere and Stormalong Bay at Beach Club is very hectic.

If you’re planning pool time, BC’s SAB is a lot of fun, but it is busy. Also, BC has restaurants on its grounds. BW is a little more laid back. The pool is not as elaborate as SAB, but it will be quieter. BW has no restaurants on property. You have to walk out to the Boardwalk to eat. Balconies at BW may be larger as BC has “Juliet” balconies. I would probably choose BW for two adults if the absence of on-site dining doesn’t put you off. It’s a very pretty property and you can stroll the Boardwalk in the evening.

Hopefully in December it will not be too chilly to use the pools. Hopefully they are heated. If all fails I think both have Hot tubs. Thank you to all.

BC for me, but we love SAB, as two adults we usually choose YC over BC, but both are nice. Neither of us like how the Boardwalk resort is set up, but it is still a great resort you can't go wrong. All of the pools are heated and we have swam in early January before, just depends on the weather that year.

We have stayed at and love both...so for us, it usually comes down to which one we can get a better rate for. :) The on-site restaurant issue doesn't affect our decision because we love eating at Epcot...for us, one of the biggest plusses of staying at BW or BC is that we can easily walk to Epcot for meals.

Having said that, H and I on our April trip were upgraded to a Garden Cottage at BWI...they are $$$ but absolutely heavenly for a couples trip, and are conveniently located across from the quiet pool. If the budget will allow for it, I highly recommend staying in one! :)

We have stayed at both and love both. Like someone else said it comes down to the better price and availability since we use a CM rate. BC has the shorter walk especially if you come out by the quiet pool. The walk to the studios is shorter from the boardwalk. The BC shares a bus with the yacht club and they usually are full by the time they get to the BC. Both have nice places to eat.

I have never stayed at Boardwalk, but I love Beach Club so that is my preference. Easy walk to Epcot and pool!

Yes we don't do this much without the kids/grandkids but I want to go mainly for the CP and to see all the Christmas decorations.

Hopefully in December it will not be too chilly to use the pools. Hopefully they are heated. If all fails I think both have Hot tubs. Thank you to all.
Yes the pools are heated to 80 degrees. You only have to worry about the ambient temperature when leaving the pool wet.

I've stayed at both and BC has a slight edge because it has Stormalong Bay ( and I always like a day at the pool ) and I wasn't a fan of the options for breakfast at BWI. There was no QS in the resort - you have to go outside to get to a QS ( or TS for that matter ) restaurant. It shouldn't seem like a big thing but all they had available for QS was the bakery and after a few days... well, I didn't want to see another Cinnamon Roll for while.

BC is a little closer to EPCOT than BWI. BWI is quite a bit closer to HS.

Boardwalk is just the overflow resort for when beach club fills up.

:rolleyes1:duck::duck::duck:

Beach club for me any day, but either one is great. I like the big pool and can walk over to the boardwalk any time.
