Help! We're planning on coming back after a long time away and need help choosing where to stay. We've got 4 kids (13,10,8,6) and will be spending time at the resort in between the parks. We're planning on staying from 8/30 thru 9/6. Our last stay was at the Poly and we all loved t but we want to try something different...

Thanks in advance for your input :goodvibes :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Beach Club and Boardwalk are both great....however, since you are going during great swim weather I would go w/Beach Club for the super pool. The location is awesome -- we love the walk to DHS to let the kids run off a bit of energy! And it is an easy stroll or boat ride to enjoy the delights of the Boardwalk -- best of both worlds! Happy planning.

We have stayed at the Yacth Club and love the resort. It is more reserved than the Beach Club but other than that and the different styles they are sister resorts. With children you would likely prefer to stay at the Beach Club which is more child friendly.

The pool is shared by both resorts but is actually located at the Beach Club.

The Epcot resort area is really great. You can walk to Epcot and the Studios or take the Friendship boats. Lots of great places to eat along with the entertainment on the Boardwalk side.

We have stayed at the YC the past 2 years and love it! This year we are trying out the BC. We considered the BW, but went for the better pool. The pool at the BC/YC totally rocks!!! You will not be disappointed.:thumbsup2

BC is the most awesome resort!! You will love it!!! It is very fun for children with Cape May Cafe and SAB right there. The night time activities on the boardwalk are very fun too and easy to walk to from BC. Children  BC!!! The closeness to Epcot and DHS will make it all worth it!

Stay at the Beach Club or YC-- if you like to swim. The pool there is the best on the premises. However, it is spread out, so keeping track of 4 kids may be tricky.

We own at the BWV and I just love the Boardwalk, but the pool at the BC & YC is just awesome. There is a section where the pools bottom is sand and the kids can build sand castles and everything. There is a pretty good slide and a lazy river too. Also, there is a lot to do during the day(hair wraps, picking a pearl out of an oyster, renting boats, music and I think they had movies at the beach in the evenings during the summer.

The BC does quiet down at night but the BW is just a 3 minute boat ride across the lake. The BW comes alive at night with jugglers, magicians and different entertainers. They usually have 2 different ones per night and they do the same show. they have a few carnival type games too and a sweet shop, bakery and ESPN. You can rent surrey bikes too.

Either way you will have a great time!!!!! You can walk over to the bridge and watch illuminations without having to go into the park. But its only a 5 minute walk home from Epcot if you do decide to watch inside the park.

HAVE a great time!!

We like Beach Club. Not only the pool, but I like the feel at BC better than at YC (although we did enjoy our stay at YC too).

I would go with YC:) BC is RIGHT there, but we enjoyed the YC "side" more....a bit more less traveled if you will...quiet..and you get to enjoy all the amenities of BC too! AND....not all BC rooms have balconies!!
You may end up with an "Evita" baclony and that would stink:(
Have fun!

I havn't stayed at the Yacht or Beach Club, but we did stay at the Boardwalk on our last visit and we were disappointed. The rooms are big but they do need to be updated. The walls are also paper thin. we could hear everything that was going on in the room next to ours. The epcot resort area is nice, but I have smaller children so we preferred the MK resorts. You might find it to be a different experience with older kids. Needless to say, if I were to go back to the epcot resorts, I would try the YC or BC before going back to BI.

Only at BWV boardwalk view can you see the fireworks at MK and Epcot.

You can also see the fireworks from the bridge between the Swan and BW. They are awesome from there. We've watched from there several years in a row after we accidentally stumbled on it.

The pool is terrific for kids. Love the atmosphere. Cape May is great (make breakfast reservations there)... It is just great for families.

I was also torn between the same resorts. I was booked at the Boardwalk and swithced to the YC for the pool (stayed at BC already). We ususally try to stay at a different resort when we visit the world. But the Poly does not have a seperate vanity area from the bathroom (garden view). So this would not work for us 1 teen and 1 tween and myself all trying to do our hair:scared1: . Need I say more. Well back to the BCYC your kids will love the pool it's great.
Have fun:banana:

we are staying at the Beach Club for the first time in May...is the pool really sand bottom...like the bottom of the pool is made out of sand..wow I sound really blonde:earsboy:

Yes, there is sand on the bottom of the pool. It's kind of strange, but really nice and makes it feel like you are at the beach.

We loved our stay at YC, as did our children. Did not feel the least bit stuffy as I have seen mentioned on other threads before. We walked around BC and actually preferred YC as the BC lobby seemed like it was just packed with people every time we were there. We had enough of that at the parks :)

Have fun!

#1 choice would be BW, #2 YC, #3 BC

btw, my kids loved the YC, but on a few different trips to the BC, my nephews & my own kids asked if we could "please, please stay at the BW from now on?!" (friends with children ranging 5 and up have said the same: they simply liked BW more).
hth :)

I say forget about the YC, BC and BW all together and go with Poly!

We will never stay at any other resort if we don't have to. Make sure to get a MK view room, it's worth it for the extra moolah!
