Boardwalk Lodgings

Yet another BWI vote. That's the only place my dh would consider buying DVC at!!! Yes, it can get a little damp if it starts raining and you need to eat. But the trade-off in plain good ole fun is more than even. The shops are nicer, the restaurants are terrific. I love the pool. I'm sure SAB is terrific. But, it looks like it would be really hard to keep an eye on the kids there. At the 'Clown Pool' it's no problem. The CMs at BW are incredible. Really helpful. We just like everything about BWI. I think you'll be glad you chose it.

That the BWI lives up to its billing. We're die-hard Wilderness Lodgers and are trying the BWI for the 1st time next week. We love Epcot and the Boardwalk so we finally decided to give it a shot.

Is the Yachtsman Steakhouse that good? We're spoiled by LeCellier. Do they compare?

Coolbreeze,

Make time one morning to have breakfast at Spoodles, it is wonderful. We did that twice last trip! Also, afternoon drinks at the pool bar, Leaping Horse Libations was a favorite for DH and I while the kids swam.

We haven't eaten at Yachtman's yet. We love to walk into the back gate of the WS and eat at those restaurants.

I'm a die hard Wilderness Lodge fan ,but if you want a different experience you'll never go wrong with the BoardWalk Staying over in the EPCOT area will make you appreciate MGM and EPCOT so much more after my second stay at the BWV last year because no availability at the Lodge I purchased an add-on to my DVC Membership.

We have stayed at the villas of both the BC and BW. It seemed to me the rooms at the BW were older than BC. They weren't in bad shape, just seemed a little more worn.

That being said, BW is our all time favorite. The location can't be beat and if you can score a BW view room, even better. We were directly above the Character Caravan (almost middle of the boardwalk) on a recent trip and so enjoyed watching the action from our balcony. Noise was never a problem for us.

Another vote for the Boardwalk. We stayed in a reg room on the 3rd floor 2002 and got a great Boardwalk view-last room right by ESPN Club. We stay at the Wilderness Lodge this year and when I visited the Boardwalk I was literally homesick. I like the Lodge but needless to say next December we are staying at the Boardwalk and this time Deluxe Concierge--splurging because it is our last trip for a few years according to my husband (YEAH RIGHT!!!!!)
