Hi.. Checking on to the BWV on Tuesday and taking a laptop: is there free internet for members staying on points?

do I need a ethernet cable, or is it wireless now?

Yes, the internet is free for DVC members staying on points. It is not wireless and you will need a cable - one is provided in the villa.

Thanks for this info. DH is swamped at work and is considering not going with us, but thinks he might be ok with internet access throughout vacation. We're in a 2BR (lockoff) at BWV...where are the wires...in the studio portion, living room, or master bedroom? Thanks again

In the studio portion where the table is and in the 1BR near the couch and dining table.

We had our own cable, we didn't find one in the villa. Ethernet comes to mind. NOt a computer person, sorry.

Five foot cables are provided, hanging in a bag in the closet. If yours is missing, call Mousekeeping for a replacement.

We bring a 25 footer and/or our wireless router for added flexibility.

I think you will have one place to connect in a one BR, near the table in the kitchen area. If you were in a 2BR lockoff, there would be a place in the other room, too. We did not see one in the bedroom part of the one BR villa. I could be wrong, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I am.
