Boardwalk Inn...standard view

From what I understand there are many standard view room at the Boardwalk - just curious as to what the best and worst views I can expect or hope for? I actually wouldn't mind a front entrance view so much, really....I'd rather see some tips of action/lights than just trees ... But that's just me.

The best view would be the room I had! It faces Epcot. We could see the Eiffel tower and Spaceship Earth and watched fireworks from our balcony 8o)

This sounds like the view we had on our last stay. It was a very nice "standard view".

I'll give you a worst - we were on the second floor above the walkway to the bus stop. People walking by and talking until late. It was only one night, we were checking into the Villas the next morning. We went a day early to get a frequent flyer flight.

We were on third floor at the very end of the hall. It took us 4 minutes to get to the lobby. Our view was interesting. I could see the Eiffel Tower, a port a potty, and part of the lake.

Here was my request (found on touring plans) Bldg Disney's BoardWalk Inn,Flr 5,E-facing room.Exmple:5276,5274,5278,5272,5270. We were in room 5278. But I think they all have the same view more or less

We have stayed at the BWI many times and have had good success with standard view rooms. A number of times we had Epcot views, including the Eiffel Tower view on our first visit. For a few years we would just ask for an Epcot View at check in. After the years of enjoying the nightly fireworks (we are early to bed, early to rise folks) we switched to asking for courtyard/quiet views. One year we were at the end of a long hall with a nice view of the quiet pool.

One thing you can do is pull up the Google Map satellite view and look at the possible views from the various wings of the Inn. They do look out in many different directions.

I've got a standard view trip coming up (but not soon enough!), too. All rooms have balconies, correct? So when I get to make a room request online should I request highest floor? Of course I have high hopes for a great view, but since I'm going in the winter I didn't want to pay for a view because I figured that would jinx the weather gods. I've spent some very cold days at WDW! And, the one time I paid for a theme park view is was too hot even for breakfast on the balcony. And yet I keep going back

I"m going to check out my options! Thanks everyone. We have 2 rooms - I'm in one and my parents are in the other - I didn't request a king bed for either of them - Something tells me they don't have many of those rooms though - I think I was told that before because when we stayed at the Yacht Club we had 2 beds in each room.
