Hi everyone! So excited for our first stay at the Boardwalk in August! We have booked a Standard room, and I have been reviewing many different room views on Touring Plans......what are your favorite Standard room views and why?

My first instinct was one very high and facing Epcot, my daughters would get a kick out of seeing the Eiffel Tower.....but the courtyard views are lovely and I think I would enjoy my morning coffee while the girls are still sleeping that much better with a view of Yacht and Beach club over the water......what's a girl to do? Should I just make ZERO requests and enjoy whatever we get?

What requests do you make....and why?

Thanks!

We have our first stay at BWI coming up next month. We've requested a room near the elevator. I've read that the hallways at BWI are extremely long. It might not even be relevant to your family, but there is someone in our party who has a mobility impairment (not disabled; we don't need an accessible room, so I have not requested one) so being within a reasonable distance from the elevator is a priority for us. Otherwise, I'm just going to let the room assigner pick a room, and we'll enjoy whatever view we get! I'm excited!

We were in a standard room in March, didn't ask for a specific view but told the front desk CM that I wouldn't mind seeing the FWs at night. Here is our view

The quiet pool was behind the building on the other side of the courtyard.

We had a room that was as far as you can get from the elevators. We found it easier to walk outside the building and climb a couple of flights of steps. Granted, we were on the third floor any higher and we'd be back at the elevators.

Last year we were in room 5304 (standard view) and had a very similar view as @loves to dive's picture posted above, but we were on the top floor. We were able to see the Epcot fireworks every night.

We have had many different views during or visits to the BWI. One year we we were at the very end of one of the wings and looked out over the quiet pool. Another year we were not quite so far down the same wing and looked out over the fountain. That was a very nice quiet view.

On one of our early trips I asked for a view of Epcot and ended up with a room that looked out across the yards of the garden suits towards Epcot where we would see the Illuminations fireworks.

I suggest taking a few minutes with Google Maps satellite view. You will see that the BWI has a couple of wings after you turn left or right out of the elevator that twist and turn to give many different views.

Wishing you a magical trip!

I've only stayed there once and the standard view we had was above the walkway to the bus stop. It was noisy, people walking back from the bus until very late and talking. Luckily it was only one night, we were moving to the Villas the next day. So I would recommend courtyard view over entrance view.

The only request I place on BWI reservations is "quiet room". Some of the rooms are above the Boardwalk restaurants and we've had noise issues in the early mornings (like 3 am) with restaurant maintenance (one was a water leak emergency, so the resort couldn't really plan around it). I've never disliked any view we've had, so we try to emphasize we would like a quiet location above all other requests.

I have stayed at the Boardwalk twice, both in a standard room. The first year, we were the last room down a long hallway on the third floor. Our view was interesting. i could see a port a potty, the Eiffel Tower, and if I looked left far enough I could see a little bit of the water. This past spring, we were on the 5th floor facing the front of the resort. I didn't have any issue with noise from buses or people, and we could watch the fireworks from Hollywood Studios every night. That was awesome. I think I requested highest floor, closest to the elevator.
