We usually have the family with us for our trips to Disney, but this year it is only my DH and myself. We are currently booked for 8 nights in a standard view room at the Boardwalk Inn. A studio just became available at the Board Walk Villa the price is about the same. I can't decide. Should I stay at the Board Walk Inn or change to the studio at the Villa. The Villa is a bit bigger. I was thinking about the villa because it is bigger and we are going to be there for 8 nights.

Any suggestions?

The Villa will only have 1 Queen bed and a double sleep sofa rather than 2 Queen beds. For just a couple I love that. If feels like you have more "living" space in the room. The Studio will also have a kitchenette with a small under counter sink, a refrig, a small microwave, a coffee maker and a toaster. It is nice if you are going to use it, but it does take up space making the Villa feel a bit smaller.

Just a few more things to help you figure out what is best for you -
Will you do laundry over your 8 days? if so you can use the 'free' laundry room if you book a villa. If you aren't doing laundry this isn't a factor. We always do a few loads during a longer trip.

Will you sit and watch tv in your room? if so the villa is nicer because you have the couch to sit on to watch.

Will you eat breakfast in your room? if not, the inn side wins.

I love staying at the Boardwalk whether it is the Inn side or the Villa side. You can't go wrong! :)

I would change it. I am kicking myself for not booking a BC villa as it was just about the same price. I'm hoping something pops up!

I would choose the villa... having that kitchenette is nice, especially for a trip that length. Agree with PP about having the couch too.

I'm going to be the odd man out, I've stayed in both a studio at the Villas and a standard in the Inn and prefer the Inn. To be honest, this was before the renovations so I can't say how it is now but my first thought when I walked in the studio was if I were a DVC owner I'd be mad. The room seemed smaller to me, that might have been the fact that it only had one bed and the little sink area takes up space. I was just in an Inn room last week and it had a couch by the way, it didn't face the TV but it was there. The Inn rooms are closer to Epcot, the DVC rooms closer to HS if that makes a difference. The coffee pot in the studios is a MR. Coffee so you have to make a whole pot of coffee, the pots on the Inn side are the pod pots that make one cup, that was important to me since I always ended up either throwing away half a pot of coffee or hiding it in the microwave so the maids didn't throw it out and reheating it the next day. Both rooms will have the mini fridge so you are getting a microwave and small bar sink in the studio.

Villa rooms can be quite a walk back to the lobby. We stayed at BWV last November and requested a room as close to the lobby as possible. We got one close to the elevators and it was nice. We used the fridge, toaster, coffee maker every day.

We've stayed in both multiple times and I really prefer the villas at BW. Especially with 2, you will have more space and a nice sitting area. You also get a big coffee pot instead of the pods! I find the villas to be quieter than the rooms at BWI. I would switch!
