I will be staying at the Boardwalk Inn for the frist time in December. I was wondering they have several buildings and if the buildings have names like the others do. If they do have names (numbers) which building would you suggest for a Standard View Non Smoking room Just trying to get an idea for a room request.

Thanks

There are not named buildings at the BWResort. There is the Inn and the Villas. Check out the BWInfo Thread on this board for much more details on what rooms to request. I'll find it and bump it back up for you. You will love the BWI, it is wonderful!:D

We just returned last week and noticed that one of the buildings at the Boardwalk was undergoing renovation.

Apparently, the renovations and construction is not information that is volunteered when making reservations. So, I would check that out and ask to be far away from any construction.

We stayed at BWI in May and had Room #2321. It was a standard view that overlooked the courtyard not the quiet pool. The next room 2323 looked directly at the building that separates the courtyard from the quiet pool. All rooms on the second floor are on the same level as the lobby. I think you can find a map on www.wdwig.com which might help make my directions below more understandable.

As you leave the BWI lobby, and go down the hallway toward the elevators, Room #2289-2358 are down the hallway to the right with 2289 being closest to the elevators. All of these would be standard view rooms either parking lot, garden/courtyard or quiet pool. Even # rooms between 2289-2311 face the courtyard and odd # rooms face the parking lot. Room #'s between 2312 and 2323 face the courtyard as the convention center is on the parking lot side. Room #s 2324-2342 are in the small courtyard building that juts out and separates the courtyard from the quiet pool. 2343-2358 are the farthest from the lobby/elevators but some, at least, would look over the quiet pool. I didn't get a chance to check out the room #'s on the boardwalk/water view side. I'm sure the other floors room #'s correspond to the second floor's.

Hope this helps. It was a beautiful hotel. Other than some touch up painting here and there, the BWI has been renovated although they are still doing renovations on the BWV side.
