Boardwalk Inn Birthday Surprise

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to share my recent experience ... Last week, I was celebrating a milestone birthday with a five-night trip to Disney and staying at my favorite resort, the Boardwalk Inn. Upon checking in, I mentioned my birthday to receive a celebration button. I was very happy to be spending my birthday at Disney World and did not expect anything extra, but to my surprise and delight upon returning to the resort on the evening of my birthday, the Boardwalk Inn had left a Mickey cake, balloons, card, and candles in my room. It was very unexpected and a lovely gesture from the staff. My companions thought it was because I always stay at the Boardwalk.

PS - The room had the toiletries dispenser attached to the bath/shower wall. No more individual bottles, but I still love the BWI.

Ewww. At BWI? That's awful.

I liked BWI the time we stayed there, but I refuse to pay those prices to use communal toiletries.

They are being installed in every resort, even DVC.

Nothing screams "gym locker room" like toiletry dispensers. Total yuck factor! I'll be bringing my own for the next trip.

That's so nice!

We stayed in a garden view room in BWI from Aug. 23 - 28 and we still had individual toiletries! Once they change over, I'll just bring my own!

That's awful. Every resort room & even the cruise ships.
