We're here for the first time this June in a water view room. I remember reading somewhere that some rooms have shared balconies. Would these be for adjoining rooms? I'm hoping it doesn't mean you'd share with a stranger. I'm one of those folks that needs privacy. Any tips on the various balcony options?

I'd also love any room location suggestions. We'd like to see Crescent Lake but would prefer to be in section that's away from some of the boardwalk bustle. I'm really not as much of a curmudgeon as I sound. It's just that when you pay top dollar you have to at least shoot for having it your way. Thanks in advance for your advise.

If I am not mistaken all of the Inn rooms are above the Bakery/Flying fish Etc. side of the BW that face Crescent lake so you will hard pressed to be away from the Bustle of the BW. The balconies will have divider if they join another as with most resorts. There are rarely people on the balconies from what I have seen so I doubt you will have an issue with privacy but the people on the BW will you see if they look in that direction. The rooms that have less people walking by are DVC on the side over the store to The Atlantic Dance except during the EPCOT fireworks as that end is where the best view is. But you can also get noise later on at night if the bars are open. If a less traveled quiter view switch is a priority switch to the Yacht club.

In a Boardwalk view room, you're going to be exposed to the Boardwalk bustle. Just comes with the territory. Ask for a room on a higher floor, that will help some. We were on the 4th floor I think last time we were there (in the villas), and the only noise we heard was from the basketball game which was across from our room. I found that more annoying than my husband did, but I AM a curmudgeon about noise lol. Nothing a white noise machine can't fix, so if you think noise might bother you that's a simple solution. Even though I'm cranky about noise, I'd still go back to a Boardwalk View in a heartbeat. That view was amazing and worth any amount of basketball noise you could throw at me. We've got an upcoming stay at the Beach Club as per hubby's request and while I'm sure it'll be nice, I'm mourning the loss of that view. Enjoy it!
