Boardwalk Inn 1-Bedroom Suite

All rate charts for BWI show a "1-Bedroom Suite $560 $615 $690 $800". Are they referring to the Garden Suites or is there a 1-bedroom that is all on one level. We stayed in a Garden Suite last year and it was just lovely but the steps were killers...we're "not-quite-senior-citizens". I'd 'preciate any help on this. Thanks.

I am sorry that I can't help you with the rate information, but I was wondering if you can give me any info on the garden suites? What were your likes/dislikes? Is it worth the extra $$$? My DH and I are thinking about staying in one this May and need some persuasion! Thanks!

Oh, Laurie, the Garden Suites are just lovely! We had Room 1212. It had a big living/dining room with a mini bar area and half bath on the lower level and up a flight of stairs was a loft. Up there was a king bed and jacuzzi tub, double vanity and separate 4-foot shower stall and toilet. It was wonderful but as I said, we are older and going up and down the steps was a little much for us. As the name implies, the Garden Suites are like little townhouses in their own "neighborhood". They are concierge and you have access to the lounge which is on the 4th floor. Our cottage was right next to the outside entrance stairwell so it wasn't far away. But again, more steps. And the concierge staff at BW are THEE best! We have since returned and stayed in a standard concierge room and hence my question about the 1-bedroom. We're contemplating a longer stay and liked the spaciousness of the suite but not the steps. We love the one-bedroom's at BWV. They are on one level, not two. At least they are if you're talking about the villa's!! They are pretty roomy also. Of course, there could be a pretty lengthy walk to your room from the elevators!

The BWI has one bedroom suites (as well as larger ones) on the fifth floor in the concierge wing.

Yes, Goofy4tink, I was talking about the BWI. We also love staying at the Villas but like to treat ourselves to concierge sometimes for the first half of our vacation. Then we go to a 1-bedroom villa (BW, BC, and recently OKW) to "decompress", i.e. DO LAUNDRY...ha-ha! Somehow doing laundry at WDW is easier then waiting until you're home. Must be "magic". Anyway, Anne, do you know if the 1-bedroom BWI suites have a BW view? Do you have any pixs? Would love to see if you do or if you can direct me anywhere for more info. Thanks, much, All!

I do not know about the 1 bedroom suites at BWI. We had a concierge deluxe on the 4th floor, not far from the lounge. It was great!! It had the normal BWI standard room layout--then at the end of the room was a large "parlor" area with a sofa(bed), coffee table & entertainment center w/second TV. Same sized balcony as the standard BWI rooms, our room faced the boardwalk, over the bakery. The parlor area was very roomy, we had 4 adults and one child, it was great to have the extra room.

It was convienet to be located across from the lounge, I think we utilized the lounge more than we would have had we been in the Villas or even on the 5th floor.

I think the $560 is for the Garden Suite. We too stay in a concierge deluxe and love it. We looked at the Garden Suites last year, and although they're beautiful, they're a little too secluded for us. We spend a decent amount of time in the lounge, plus we go in July which has the potential to have downpours. We didn't want to have to enter our room from the outside. Plus, we love the BoardWalk view. You can watch Wishes from your balcony!
