Hi Everyone!

I have a couple of questions regarding BWV. Although I know it may very well NOT be possible as we don't own at BWV, DH & I are considering trying to get a GV for Nov. 2012 for a weekend. So, question #.....

1) where are the GV's located. DH believes they are on the Swan/Dolphin side of the resort.

2) How long of a walk to the Epcot entrance from the GV's.

3)Are they 1 story or 2

4) Do they have HA rooms

Little background, DH & I will be celebrating our 30th wedding anni. This will also be the first WDW trip with our oldest 3 being 21 :upsidedow So, we are thinking BW maybe a good choice. I don't think that is going to be a focal point for them, but I would like to allow them the experience of Jelly Rolls as well as F&W at close proximity. They are only coming down for the w/e as they will be in their senior years of college:eek:

We also will have a 9 yo with us.

We have stayed at BWV, SSR, OKW, BLT as well as poly, por, asmu.

So, any suggestions, ideas, thoughts to support or different suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well!!

TIA,
Dee

There are 7 GV's. 5 one-story and 2 two-story

I can tell you where some are based on our stays:

If you look at the front of the boardwalk villas. The 5th and 3rd floors above the screen door are the living room/dining room areas of the one story gv's. both sections to the left and right extending to the end of the red facade are the remainder of those villas.

If you look at the yellow section under the boardwalk sign. the 5th/6th floors are the two story gv's side by side. The 3rd and 4th floors are the one story all the way across.

I believe they have at least one one-story HA.

It's a 5-10 min walk max to the entrance of Epcot.

Forgot to answer the rest of your post. The GV's are huge!!!! Once your 21 yr olds leave it will seem empty with you and the 9 yr old unless your stay extends only a day or two.

We love the GV. If bw isn't your home resort, you'll need to rent from an owner at the 11 month mark. We've done it for Halloween and had no problems.

It's a great idea to celebrate with your kids. They'll always remember it.
We've taken family down on three occassions and it's great to hear how they rave about these rooms years later.

Thanks for all the info. We aren't planning on staying in a GV the entire trip. Just from Nov. 9-12 (hopefully). Then we will go with something smaller, although, i'm not sure a studio, 1bdrm or 2bdrm. Possibly a 2 bdrm as my Dad lives in FLA so I though perhaps he could spend a night with us.

So, you really think it is near impossible to get a GV for 3 nights (a long w/e no less) at the 7 mnth mark? We own SSR, which I am not opposed to getting a GV there. We have done that before and they are gorgeous, plus the local to DTD is wonderful. I just thought something different would be nice and the prox to Epcot for the older ones would be nice. Still just throwing ideas around. I just really would like this to be a special vacation. Since this will be the first with the older 3 being 21, the last before they graduate college and DH & my 30th anniv. Oh and the last one before the youngest pays "adult" prices. hehehe Lots to celebrate.

Thanks again.

It is not impossible to get a GV at 7 months but because you are going during F&W the probability is not that good. Oct. - Dec. is extremely popular at BCV and BWV. Book a GV at SSR and then call exactly at 7 months to try for BWV and wait list if necessary. Because you only need about 3 days you have a little better chance. Good luck!

Thanks. I am so excited about this trip. I was figuring on doing just what you said. book SSR GV for long weekend & 2bdrm for remainder of trip, then call at 7 month EXACTLY for BWV and if no GV avail we could do 2 2 bdrm if that isn't avial I'll waitlist and keep my fingers crossed.

:thumbsup2

Another idea you may try is to post a trade SSR for BWV on the R/T board. Use the prospect of a THV for enticement. it might just work out for you.
