My family and I originally had plans for the Wilderness Lodge for our upcoming Summer 2008 vacation after much back and forth but now we might be upgrading to either the BEACH CLUB OR THE BOARDWALK. I want to know from all you Boardwalk Fans, what makes the BOARDWALK so special to you and what a standard room view is like. PLEASE INCLUDE ANY PHOTOS YOU MAY HAVE. THANKS A BUNCH:banana:

The convenience to EPCOT and studios makes it special.

Also the large amount of restaurants within and easy walk or boatride.

Boardwalk has always been one of our favorites, Beach Club villas was also great.

Compare the price to a villa - with the 1br you also get a full kitchen, a washer/dryer and a huge bathroom with separate jacuzzi tub (okay, my KIDS loved the tub!). We love that for the comforts of home, packing less clothes as they go in the washer daily, and the proximity to our favorite park, Epcot. Never stayed in a regular room there, sorry, but love the villas!

The Polynesian is my favorite resort, but since buying into DVC (Boardwalk is our home) we now usually stay at BWV. :)

We love it because of the short walking distance to Epcot, (longer) walking distance to MGM studios or a quick boat trip. Monorail to MK (after a brisk walk through Epcot). Can ya tell we hate taking the bus??

We love the nostalgic boardwalk atmosphere (we are from Jersey - so maybe that's why), the view from the balconies. Boardwalk view gives an unbeatable view of the boardwalk action, the Y&B clubs across the lagoon & Spaceship Earth. We even enjoy the standard view rooms - the view is of the driveway leading to the main Boardwalk entrance (which I love to see at night lit up). You mainly watch busses come and go - it's peaceful. :cloud9:

LOVE LOVE LOVE The EPCOT area resort hotels!!!! They can not be beat!

Personally the boat ride from the MK to Wilderness lodge is SOOOOOOOooooo slow it makes me want to jump ship and swim myself to shore!!!! :lmao:

The walk to EPCOT for the boardwalk, yacht and beach club can not be beat!

The ease of access to a bunch of restaurants along with the restaurants in the WS are excellent as well!

The pool at the beach club is the best of Disney property! The slide at the Luna Park pool is a BlAST

After WISHES the Yacht and beach club buses are the least chaotic when trying to leave the MK.

Walking to Hollywood Studios is a breeze as well.

Trust me you made the right decision!:goodvibes

I have to agree with this 100%. I have stayed at all 3 WL/BC/BWV. My favorite of the 3 was BWV (1 BDR) next would be BC and last WL. The transportation was just as the other poster described. I could have swam across the mote faster from WL to MK. Never again.

My two favorite resorts are BW and AKL CL. Both about the same cost and very different trips. You have made a great decesion!!! Have fun.

I love both the Beach Club and the Boardwalk, however I prefer the Boardwalk because all rooms have full balconies or patios, which is not the case at the Beach Club and the balcony is very important to us.

Don’t forget the short boat ride to the Disney Studios. Spoodles, Cape May, Beaches and Cream. Entertainment at night, the water Views, riding the surrey bikes around the lake. And that wonderful smell of the Lobby of the BCR.

We recently stayed at the BWI. We had housekeeping issues and needed to be moved. Our 2nd standard view room had a very small balcony, about 4ft wide. It could fit 1 chair. We much prefer the YC over BWI.

We are huge Boardwalk fans. We love the Boardwalk. There is just something about the atmosphere of the resort when you walk in. The Boardwalk view can't be beat. Sitting out on the balcony at night relaxing with the sounds and everything lit up is so relaxing. When we actually hang out down on the Boardwalk at night it is so much fun!:thumbsup2 The entertainers and the piano guy just make everything so neat. If you would get the chance and stay on the Club Level, the staff can't be beat!:thumbsup2 Like everyone else has their favorite, the Boardwalk is ours.:cloud9: Good luck whatever you decide!:)

Are you talking DVC villas? I.e., VWL, BWV and BCV??
