Has anyone been to Boardwalk Deli since it has opened and been able to customize any of the sandwiches on the menu when ordering in person? Specifically, I love pastrami but hate sauerkraut, so if the sandwiches are premade where I can't ask for that off, it'd be a no go. Would also be more interested in one of the breakfast sandwiches if I could get it on a different bread and not a bagel. Was just curious since many mobile order places let you take certain ingredients out, but for the Deli there are no options to customize.

From the few vlogs I have watched everything is pre-made and there's no customization. I even tried to mobile order and there were not customizations. Pretty pathetic for a place that's supposed
to be a deli!!

I checked on the bagel sandwiches this morning - in the app you can remove the cheese or onion on the bagel breakfast sandwich, only the cheese on the everything bagel sandwich and ciabatta breakfast sandwich. No options for substitution.
No idea about in-person ordering, I haven't been.

Just thought I'd report back on this, confirmed that when ordering in person you are able to get a Reuben with no sauerkraut. So some customization is possible, just not in the app.

I'd like to get the vegan sandwich with regular cheese instead of vegan cheese, meaning it's still OK for vegetarians. Frankly, I don't like vegan cheese. However, last I heard, the sandwiches were remade. If I go there, and order in person, do you think I'd have a chance of getting regular cheese?

We will be staying at the Boardwalk in November. Looking at the menu for the Boardwalk Deli is very disappointing and calling it a deli is misleading. The menu is so limited it is a joke. Only one type of pastrami sandwich, no corned beef, no turkey, etc. I guess I am missing something.

Someone speculated that they wanted to call it a "deli" to differentiate it from the new "Cake Bake Shop" which is going where the ESPN Club was. Too confusing to have two places on the Boardwalk which sound like bakeries.

So the speculation was it would be less confusing if they called one of the bakeries a deli? Even for Disney that logic is a little too twisted, lol.
