Boardwalk Construction still going on???

I am coming down Memorial weekend throught the following week. Did they finish up all of the repair/refreshing work from last year? Any other current issues??

There is still pipe replacement work going on at the resort and that is supposed to continue through this summer. We were there three weeks ago and didn't see any however, so what area of the resort they are in, I'm not sure. They are also still converting the old DVC Sales offices into rooms, whihc is supposed to continue through June. From what I saw of this, it is getting close to completion and those rooms will soon be available. Considering how long ago they sold the points, it's about time.

The work had no effect upon our stay at all.

We stayed right above the almost complete landscaping in front of the new villas that are where the sales office used to be.

They were working (white construction walls were up) on the boardwalk in front of the Screen Door shop.

They are replacing the entire decking on the boardwalk itself. As of Thursday they where about 80% complete. They where up to the left hand side of the door of Big River Brewery and going towards Jelly Rolls.

We were down the beginning of May. They are replacing boards on the Boardwalk itself.

We did not see any other work. We were on the 2nd floor Inn side.

Very nice resort.

you can still get around the entire boarwalk, right?? I usually jog the boardwalk, to MGM/Epcot, and sometimes around the road that goes around Boardwalk/swan/dolphin/beach/yacht/etc

Yes, you can still get around the whole boardwalk. They have walls up about blocking about 1/2 the width of the boardwalk and are working on the side towards the water. This is only from just beyond the boat docks to near the end of the boardwalk going towards Jellyrolls. This was at the beginning of May so more of the wall may be down now.

Yes - I jogged the boardwalk last week. They won't close the whole thing.
