Hi Everyone,

Well seems October, Deluxe and AP rates don't mix to well. I got in to CRO around 8:30am and then only thing available for my dates was the Boardwalk Concierge. I went ahead and book it at a total of $1976.00. Currently I'm holding a Swan ressie for the same dates for a total of $1545.00. Is Boardwalk Concierge worth the $400 extra?

I have always wanted to stay Concierge level at Disney but just couldn't seem to justify the difference. Although I have never stayed at the Swan I have heard wonderful things about it. I'm just concerned I'll miss the Disneyish feel. When we are there it will be my sons 6th Bday and I was looking forward to a card from the Boardwalk. They have already asked me his favorite character and when they did that last time we had a autographed picture waiting for him at the front desk.

I know if I work hard (heck not that hard :) :) ) I can justify the extra $$$. But would like some opinions so at least if I do decided to stay at the Boardwalk I know at least I thought it thought with the help of the "Experts" :)

Take Care

I don't know if it is worth $400 extra, but I definitely think staying concierge has value. So if you don't mind the extra splurge I'd say go for it!

Breakfast is provided, as well as evening snacks/desserts. PS assistance can be especially helpful if you are trying to get a difficult PS.

We are planning our first stay at the BW Concierge in January and I have been questioning my decision the past couple of days but have ultimately decided it is right for us!

Here is a link to my thread which includes someone's helpful trip review and what is offered in the Concierge lounge :).

Good luck making your decision :)

IMHO I would say no..............We stayed at BW Concierge last December as an upgrade - so we didn't pay the extra bucks..(Long drawn out story)...Also, this was the first time at concierge level for us. It was definitely an experience (good one at that); but having also stayed at the Swan, I would choose the Swan again. The snacks were nice - but I just didn't feel that it would warrant the extra monies. Of course, this is just my opinion...................Whatever you decide, you'll have a super trip. Enjoy!!!!

I think the value of the concierge level room would be determined by how little or how much you anticipate using those ammenities and whether you see that as a good value for the additional cost.

We are planning our first concierge stay for next summer. Since this is going to be a more laid-back visit to WDW than previous trips, I anticipate a lot of late mornings and plenty of time spent by the pool. I'm looking forward to the convenience of coffee and a continental breakfast within easy reach each morning.

Since we almost always return to our resort at mid-day to escape the heat and crowds, we will probably take advantage of the afternoon snacks that are available as well. And DH and I might just get used to having a late snack and cordials on our balcony as the kids drift off to sleep.

The valet parking, easy check-in and having the concierge take care of our PSs is appealing.

I'm hoping for an AP discount for July of next year but I'll live with it if nothing becomes available. For me, the concierge service will be my vacation.
