When we were staying at the BWV a couple weeks ago, on the rare instances when we used the buses, we noticed the following:
1. The BWV shared a bus, at that time, only with Swan & Dolphin.
2. For going to the MK, except the one day we went at rope drop and drive and got 3rd row parking, it was generally quicker to do the bus.
3. Walking to and through Epcot, to catch the monorail, to then transfer at the TTC, change platforms and then go on to the MK would only be faster in those rare instances when something goes wrong with the buses (a 90 minute wait, which we never encountered, had to have been a system error). That is very long walk, and the monorails don't run all that dependably, in my opinion, and the long lines that form make me jumpy.
4. The MK buses seemed to run constantly and we never waited more than about 5 minutes, so even with the stops at S/D, it was still quicker than driving, parking, taking the tram and then the monorail or boat.
5. Returning from the MK, at least at during our trip, the YC/BC bus stop was next to the BW bus stop (I believe they can move around, so this may not always work), so we just hopped on whichever bus came first. The walk from the YC/BC is easy. Granted, we weren't waiting for a bus at busy times, so a long line would have made this an unworkable gamble.
6. Personally, I find the monorail no more pleasant than the buses. The fact that it runs on a track, to me, doesn't make it any less crowded, full of people jostling for position, subject to being "full" and having to wait for another monorail, etc., so I don't enjoy it beyond the sentimental value, which I'll stipulate is significant.
7. The walks to Epcot and DHS are easy and pleasant. So quick and convenient, better than any other transportation option in my opinion.
8. We drove to AK, DD, and once to MK. I prefer walking and driving to buses and monorails any day.
Just my insights. We love the BWV!!!
