Does the boardwalk have its own bus or does it share with other resorts?

I'm almost certain it shares with Swan and Dolphin and the Yacht and Beach Clubs. I seem to remember stopping at BW when we stayed at Beach Club.

This is correct. Although, from MK, they sometimes give BC/YC their own bus.

BW always shares with S/D. Sometimes, the buses will also stop at YC/BC, but that is generally at slower times of day.

The buses at BW are no better, no worse than the majority of other resorts. They all have other stops to make. At this moment, POP is the ONLY resort that has buses that make no other stops. Every other resort has mulitple stops along the bus route...be it internally or externally.

You do share with S/D but we have also had buses that picked us up at BW and then went directly to MK. On the way back when the buses stop at S/D we just hop off at the first stop and walk across the bridge back to the BW - takes less time than making all the stops. We usually take the car to AK since with the AAA parking pass the parking is closer than the bus drop off.

Having just spent a week riding the buses there.. for DTD it always seemed to stop at YC/BC/BW/S/D -- but as noted.. getting off early and walking a bit more is always an option.. one I took advantage of a few times mainly cause I just wanted to stretch my legs.. :)

In my trips to the Mk it never shared with YC/BC .. but of course that *can* happen.

The buses at BWI were horrible! I stayed there in 2003, so I may be out of date, but every bus at that time stopped at YC/BC first, then S/D, and BWI last. One night it took an hour and a half to get back from the MK. Most people staying at BWI would get off at the first stop and walk to the resort.

We've stayed at BW 3 times in early March, 6 times at S/D the same week and in all that time, 9 stays of 8 days or more, maybe 3 or 4 times did we get a bus ride that hit all the Epcot resorts. The vast majority of time BW and S/D shared a bus and YC/BC had their own. The Values seem to have the best bus service, BW & S/D are second in my opinion, I don't think we'll be doing POFQ/POR because of the bus issue there.

Thanks!! I guess I will find out next week :)

The best part about BW is you can walk to both Epcot and DHS or take the boat. The boat service is always regular, the only problem is sometimes at DHS the boat is full and you have to wait for the next one.

We have stayed at BW twice, they seem to share a bus with all the Epcot resorts. We had a very hard time getting to DtD and the water parks. I would suggest that if you are waiting a long time for busses at BW, that you grab the bus at the other resorts. It worked for us and was faster. Sometimes if the busses get to full they don't come to BW(its usually the last stop)

Just one more reason why POP is the best resort at Disney..IMHO.

There is no way I could trade DVC for Pop... That's why there are so many different resorts :) We can take a boat to two resorts and will risk the busses for the other two. Thank all :)

An hour and a half on a bus? Why? You could just take the monorail to EPCOT and walk in a quarter of the time.

ETA: Yeah, and the fact that the POP buses only go there does not make it the "best resort". It's not even the best resort transportation-wise, being nowhere near a monorail or boat.

with swan, dolphin, yc, bw and it takes forever to get anywhere and this the main reason I will never stay at the BW, YC, BC ever again. There is no reason a delux resort should share buses like that.

Perhaps you'd like a personal chauffeur.

Okay...THE BUSES AT BW DO NOT ALWAYS SHARE WITH YC/BC....ALWAYS WITH S/D, BUT AGAIN...NOT ALWAYS WITH YC/BC!

For whatever reason, some of you seem to insist that BW buses always go to YC/BC and that is just not true. There are some exceptions....AK and DTD routes can combine all 5 of the Epcot resorts, but that is not always the case. MK buses seldom include all 5 resorts.

There are the only resorts that you can walk to two different parks..or take a boat. No other resorts can say that. Sure, the monorail resorts off boat or monorail access to MK as well as monorail to Epcot. But, you have to get to the TTC and then onto the Epcot monorail first. That just isn't the same as walking or boating directly to two different parks.

The buses at BW/S/D/YC/BC are no better, on worse than the vast majority of other WDW resorts.

What a lot of people seem to forget is with the Boardwalk you can take a boat or walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, so those are two less buses you need to worry about and why you need to also see the good about staying there. Now when my family and I are staying at the Boardwalk this August we will have our own car since were driving down, so it's great when we go to Downtown Disney. However we wouldn't mind taking the buses to the Magic Kingdom and the Animal Kingdom, plus since we have not stayed there yet I want to see just how their bus service is before giving my opinion about it.
