I could be wrong but I think the only way to get a bus to another resort is by going to downtown disney and hoping the resort bus from there. I don't think you can hop resort to resort on a bus unless the other esort is within your stops ( like Yacht/Beach club and Swan/dolphin are on the same line with Boardwalk.
But I am pretty sure you either have to go to a resort or DTD to get to another resort.
Stayed at Boardwalk last Oct. it is a lovely place
I agree with CharityLynn; you can go through Downtown Disney. Or if you don't mind walking, take a bus from CSR to the Studios and walk to the Boardwalk from there (about a mile).
A mile? It can't be that far. (from MGM to BW) It seems to be just across the street, on the path that runs along the canal.
Somewhere there is a mileage chart. Can anyone help?
I'm pretty sure that from the bus stop at the Studios to the front of the BW is just about a mile via the walkway. We've walked it and jogged it many times.
To get from one resort to another (unless, as someone already said, the two resorts happen to be on the same bus route), you can go to any theme park or other attraction (water park, DTD) as long as it is open and switch busses to your destination.
It took us about 12 minutes to walk to MGM from BWV. And one night, we wanted to see Osborne Family Lights and MGM was soon to close and we were running late...so we speed-walked to MGM. I think I made it in 7 minutes. Was out of breath but made it before they closed!!!
Don't forget that you can get a cab from the resorts to just about anyplace. So, if you are at Boardwalk and it's late and MGM is closed, have them call you a cab. It's not very expensive.
Many many years ago, there was a bus that ran from CSR to BWI. However, that bus no longer exists. To get from one resort to another, you must use a theme park or Downtown Disney as a transfer point. Some transfers are better than others. Always double check with the driver before boarding to make sure that you are using the best transfer point.
