Boardwalk Balcony Outlet

We have enjoyed the BW balcony several times over the years, and I do not recall there being any power outlets on the balcony. Since it was opened in 1996, I expect (but don't know for certain!) there was much less of a concern for outlets, ports, and charging devices than there might be today. Might need a good old-fashioned extension cord to run out there!

I've been on the balcony many times and do no recall any power outlets....but i'm not 100%

I’ve never seen one and have been staying there since the early days. I have run an extension cord when I want to sit out there and use my IPad...it seems to run out if juice rather quickly.

If you are thinking about putting holiday lights out there, the resort management does not allow it. I’ve seen others hang things inside using suction cup hangers on the glass doors. I’ve heard they were cracking down on this too, but did see lots of windows decorated at Bay Lake Tower recently.

My experience is that these devices (both tablet and phone) use a lot more battery when I’m using them at WDW than when at home, even doing the same tasks. I have attributed it to the poor quality wifi connections onsite. We have even had cases where I had to use my phone as a wifi hotspot for my tablet because the resort wifi was so inconsistent.

Make sure you are connected to the in room wifi and there should be little issue with the Wifi. I will note that a 1Br or 2BR (if a dedicated) will have great reception in the living room part but not so great in the BR or second BR of dedicated part. A studio should be fine. It is possible on a Balcony to pick up the non room Wifi. in that case just turn your Wifi off and just use data. there are no outlets on any balcony in any resort that i can recall seeing. I am 100% positive there was none at the BW as we were there about a month ago.

True, room WiFi at BWV is not usually too bad. Poolside is a different story....that is definitely a spot to use data.

BLT is the worst for in room WiFi.
