Does every room have a balcony? Are they as big as the Contemp. balconies, just enough for two chairs.
Also MIL wants to be near us but she is a smoker, we will be in non-smoking due to DS's asthma. My thoughts are she should not smoke on balcony in the non-smoking section. Is there any official policy??

I shouldn't have to be stuck inside my room with my door locked shut in a N/S room in order to avoid someone else's cigerette smoke. Yes you're outdoors, but smoke travels. It doesn't just float in the air right in front of your own personal space so please, keep that in mind the next time you decide to light up on a balcony of a N/S room. Even if you think you don't see anyone's room door open directly next to you or someone physically on their balcony, sometimes there are people above or below you ~ have had this happen a few times.
