With the bakery closing for expansion, where would one get a non coffee drink in the morning? I don't drink coffee and usually go with the light lemonade. Last time there we could only get hot drinks at Boardwalk Joe's cart and the pizza window doesn't open until midday. Does the lounge have anything other than coffee?

I read that a temporary location will be set up in a tent across from it. I don't think it will have the full selection, but i'd imagine that they will offer soft drinks to accommodatepeople.

The temporary tent is set up between boardwalk Joe's and the hot dog shack.
The new bakery will feature a self serve soft drink machine.

How about your refrigerator? Stock up on a few bottles and you'll have it any time you want it.

Since the Boardwalk Bakery is one of the 3 main bakeries on site for all of WDW, I don't think the kitchen area will be shut down (I could be wrong). I think they're merely shutting down the storefront for the remodel.

There's a number to call to order your cake. (Sorry, I don't have it as I've not needed it) You can ask them if you'll still be able to pick up the cake from the BW area.

The target date I saw was 4/27.

I've heard two different things about how they are going to expand the Bakery. I was told by a Bakery CM that they were moving the equipment to the rear of the building. Daddio from David's Timeshare Rentals posted that they are expanding into the ESPN arcade and part of the ESPN Club. Not sure which is accurate until it actually happens.

We got a cake from the GF a few years ago. Cute as everything, but dry as a piece of wood. $50, too. Have since been to Publix and gotten some very good tasting cakes from them. Try Publix. They have what they call Decadent Desserts that are wonderful.

You can also get non-coffee drink refils at seashore sweets, but that may not help in the am.

To the OP. I get up every morning when at the boardwalk and go to the Belvue (sp) lounge for breakfast. they usually have tea coffee orange juice apple juice, hot chocolate etc. Not sure about the lemonade. Danishes and fruit and oatmeal. So a pretty good selection in the morning.

Last Dec.19th we got a chocolate w/ strawberry filling and pink whip cream icing.
I ordered it in person when we arrived. Picked it up 2 days later.
Had it in our room with the DSis & fam. 10 people
$35 Very moist, in fact maybe a little too much so. Cute sparkles too.
Definitely would order another

I can see how it would work doing it both ways. They say they are making it larger to allow for more offerings...which would be very nice. I'm assuming they are going to model it after The Marketplace over at BC. More sandwiches, salads, maybe some soups. They could put in a few inside tables, with more counter space. Moving the actual equipment back further.
I had wondered why they weren't moving into the Arcade a bit. That always seems to be wasted space.

With everyone holding arcade in their pockets now with smartphones and the like, it seems the arcades are always empty nowadays. I really think Disney should look at removing them from all the resorts.

Update from this past weekend trip: The temporary tent on the boardwalk has cans of coke, diet coke and sprite. These are in addition to coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate that is available at the tent as well as in the Lounge.

I use garden grocer before i leave to order to stock up room also I beleive there is a gas station with store just outside the parking lot to get your lemonade and other items
