Boardwalk area….. who’s running this dumpster fire?

We stayed at the BWV in May 2021 and November 2021as well. That’s it for us. We found ourselves taking the sky liner over to the Riviera to eat at the quick service who has in my opinion the best QS food on property and the food at their pool is excellent as well. Won’t be staying at BWV again it’s BC or Riviera if we can get it. We own at BLT and GF but we love the boardwalk area as well but it’s not what it used to be unfortunately!

We were just at BWI this past weekend and it was the best it’s been in the past year. We saw at least 4 different acts over two nights including magicians, jump ropers, and several jugglers. These were all new acts to us and it was great to see the Boardwalk more lively.

I agree about food choices but FF is opening soon so that is great.

I agree it is not back to its old self completely but it is much better at least to us.

Agree with sticking to the Swan and Dolphin, unless I get a studio rental at BCV or BWV. I actually have two BCV studio rentals on my horizon, but otherwise, I'm happy happy to stay at the Swan and Dolphin.

Personally, I prefer the Swan, however I take TA reviews with a large grain of salt. People with an axe to grind tend to leave reviews there. I stayed at the Swan in May, and was very happy.

The trash is in the hall as they are not servicing your room every day. They will clean your room if you use the ap and let them know. I don't get the comment that they couldn't find anyone to talk to. could they not find the front desk????? Most of the comments look like they were left by people who paid no attention to the info on their reservation.

The Swan is very nice. I agree with TA reviews. But some of the things quoted for the Dolphin are legitimate concerns...

If basically every independent sports bar/ restaurant in Florida has remained open since May 2020, I find it rather absurd that The Walt Disney Company doesn’t have the resources to reopen ESPN club. It’s rather absurd to chalk this up to inability.

It’s not clear if Disney wants to reopen ESPN Club. (I sure hope they do. It was my favorite WDW sports bar.)

Some have suggested turninto the Boardwalk’s food court.

Based on Disney’s more recent business model, I suspect they want to rent out the space to a third party, guaranteeing a steady income, with someone else paying the expenses.
