Boardwalk and Skylinner

On arrival day , I was thinking about going to the Boardwalk area for dinner and riding the Skylinner to site see. Is this possible? Is the Skylinner running? How far is it from the Boardwalk area? Where do you park? Do you have to have a Park ticket to ride? Thanks so much. We are staying offsite in a condo. Will be visiting in November.

Just to add, if you wish to avoid paying for parking at DHS you can get an ADR at one of the Boardwalk area restaurants. You can park free with a reservation, 3 hours is usually the time allowed. Otherwise, it might be less expensive (depending on where you are staying) to take an Uber/Lyft to and from DHS to catch the Skyliner.

One thing you should know is that while you may make "roundtrips" on the SkyLiner to site see, you will have to transfer Gondolas at the end of line for the theme parks (DHS and IG/EPCOT) and also at the transfer hub in Caribbean Beach Resort.

How far is it from the Boardwalk area?

Its a very quick walk. Just across the bridge and down the hill from Boardwalk. Its before the International Gateway entrance, virtually right across from the Epcot Friendship Boat docks.

Where do you park?

As mentioned, if you have an ADR at Boardwalk, you should be able to park there. Otherwise, Disney expects those checking out the Skyliner to park at DHS.

Do you have to have a Park ticket to ride?

No. All of the stations are outside the park entrances or at resorts. If you ride from the International Gateway entrance, you will stop at the Riviera station and then everyone will be required to disembark at CBR, which is the main Skyliner hub. From there, you can either ride the line to DHS or ride the line to Pop/AOA, although AOA is closed right now. If you want to just go back to the International Gateway station, you still have to exit but then can just jump back in line and get back on.

Thank you for the information! We are staying at the Boardwalk for a few days next month and we are usually a MK resort area family. This is a resort only stay and my kids love riding the skyliner, so I think the international gateway station sounds like it would be best since we don't want to get caught up in any morning crowds heading to DHS.
