We are staying at The Boardwalk for 7 nights in Dec. We have quite a few TS dinners and we plan on grabbing breakfast around our resort most mornings. I have heard how great Boardwalk Bakery is and how there are many places around the resort to eat but that was it. No details on what they have (DDs and I like pastries DH and DS love savory breakfasts). Can someone help me out on what is offered in and around boardwalk for breakfast. We are mostly interested in CS and snack options since we are planning a lot of TS meals.
Thanks

I would love to hear all the options for breakfast around the boardwalk and beach club area as well

The only DDP CS breakfast options near the boardwalk are at Beach Club Marketplace and Boardwalk Bakery, and they do not serve breakfast "platters" - mostly sandwiches. At Yacht Club and Boardwalk, the lounges serve a continental breakfast that you can get on DDP. For those who prefer pastries this may be an option.

If you have a park hopper ticket and are looking for a full hot breakfast for a DDP CS credit, your best option is to enter Epcot and go to Sunshine Seasons.

Menus (sample menus only) can be viewed at http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/disneydining.cfm

Isn't Kouzzina on the DDP? They're open for breakfast and dinner, I think...

You will be using a TS credit for Kouzzina if you go there for breakfast.
It will also take a bit more time in the morning if that matters to you.

You may want to consider getting a pastry or something the night before with a snack credit at the bakery and put it in your frig in the room. Coffee maker is in the room also. Lounge on the balcony and enjoy the morning a bit instead of waiting in line for the same pastry in the morning.

Oh and giftshops have rice krispy treats for a snack credit. Hey, it's cereal right?? lol

You would probably be able to get cereal at Beach Club Marketplace, I'm pretty sure they have it and it might count as a snack credit. They may also have boxed cereal at the continental breakfast areas.

We stayed there at Christmas/New years of 2009.

We had a full kitchen, which was heavenly. We grabbed eggs, milk, bread, etc from the Hess station down the road and had a full breakfast every morning.

If you don't have that option, maybe donuts, some cereal. The general store has options for food.

As far as quick service breakfast - You may have to eat at a park. Sunshine seasons at Epcot, Pizzafari at Animal kingdom, The bakery at Magic Kingdom, and I'm not quite sure where they serve B-fast at Hollywood studios.

We've been known to drive to another resort and use their counter service as well. our favorite? Port Orleans riverside, followed by Pop century. The Contemporary isn't bad either.

Boardwalk is awesome. 2 thumbs up !!

I'm not quite sure where they serve B-fast at Hollywood studios.

Sometimes, they serve breakfast at the ABC Commissary, but last weekend they were channelling anyone who wanted breakfast to either Starring Rolls or Fairfax Fare (which are both outdoors and too small to handle the influx of patrons who wanted breakfast, and neither has a large selection.)

Yeah, and Starring Rolls no longer has their fabulous salmon/bagel platter (BOO, hiss!), all they seem to have these days is sweet baked-goods, no protein :(.

agnes!
PS - We LOVED the old menu at Starring Rolls, going there was a highlight of any early-morning visit to the Studios.

I have a friend who loved the salmon - I know they still don't have it because we went there before Memorial Day and she came out with a plain bagel so I'm certain the salmon hasn't returned.

However, at least on that day, they were selling the turkey and ham sandwiches at breakfast.

This is what we are looking for. Myself and DDs love breakfast pastries. My DH and DS like the sandwich types. We are mostly looking and foods we can eat along the way to a park.

We stayed at Boardwalk a few years ago and we'll be staying at Beach Club Villas in October. The area has a lot of flexibility to eat. The General Store that someone mentioned is just down the back steps and sells lots of options to keep in your room. The Bakery was great for us when we used a quick serve but paying out of pocket for breakfast might be the best way to go. The Beach Club marketplace should have somewhat of the same options as General store but not as close. Spoodles used to be great for sit down breakfast but its gone now :sad2: What a great resort area! Great choice!

Eating isn't permitted on the buses if that's what you're thinking so I assume you want things you can grab and eat while in line for the bus, unless you're driving. Beach Club Marketplace should have both the sandwiches and some pastries, if they don't have enough pastries run to the Yacht Club and see what's available at Ale & Compass.

I was planning on grabbing stuff to eat on the walk to EPCOT and on the walk to HS.
