We are planning on taking my nephews and niece on our trip with us next year. We would like to stay at Boardwalk and get a 2 bedroom. Since that is not our home resort we will have to wait until we are 7 months out. Is it possible to get a bedroom for June 7 months out?

Thank you

Yes, it's possible but you will likely have a garden/pool view and not one of the coveted standard or boardwalk views. My brother is there now and he owns at SSR.

Don't forget that all two bedroom villas at BWV are lockoffs.

Thank you! At least I know it is possible. I will keep my fingers crossed.

We will be traveling with 5 "children" 22,22,20,16 and 14 so the lockoff will be fine. Thank you
@Deb & Bill was pointing out that since all 2-BRs at BWV are lockoffs, every time a studio is booked the unit converts to studio + 1-BR and a 2-BR villa is taken out of inventory. That reduces your chances of getting a 2-BR villa but doesn't make it impossible when you're looking at booking for June at 7 months.

But since BWV has 97 dedicated studios and 130 dedicated 1-br's versus 149 2-br lock-offs, the dedicated studios and dedicated 1-br's would be booked first before they would start splitting up 2-br lock-offs.

We own at Grand Californian and AK. With our kids in college, we have to go in the summer now, and we frequently go in June and July. We've always gotten our dates for a 2BR at BWV. We do book early in the AM on the day the booking window opens. We're going in 2 wks and are doing a split stay btw Bay Lake and BWV. Good Luck!

Assuming your home resort is at WDW, be sure to book it at 11 months so that you'll have a place to stay if you can't get BWV.

Kinda off topic, but..... with the addition of fireworks at DHS, BWV G/P rooms (not all of them obviously) have actually become quite a bit more desirable than they were. Our past couple of stays we've had awesome views of the fireworks which has been a very welcome addition to this view at BWV. Now granted, a lot of people will still prefer the Standard for the points savings or BW view for, well, the BW view lol but we've found that the G/P views are definitely upgraded now with the potential views of fireworks

For each of the last five years, the BWV pool/garden view 2BR has been open at 7 months out for all of June. Standard and boardwalk view are usually missing multiple days a week at 7 months out for any week in June although sometimes you can get lucky.

The problem with lockoffs is that you lose a real bed and gain a sleeper sofa (plus a murphy bed).
