Going to DL in August. If we don't get our park tickets until we get to the hotel, is there anyway to try to get a boarding pass that morning before we get them? Edit: and can anyone confirm that hotel check in is when we will get our tickets?

You have to have your ticket registered in order to try and book a pass.

It has to be linked in your app to get a boarding group.

Are you buying a package through Disney or Costco? They should give you your ticket info right away to load onto your phone. If you’re buying them separately, or through an authorized third party like GetAwayToday, you should also get a bar code or e-ticket number. No reason, really, to delay getting them until you get to your hotel. Buy them online and link them in your phone on the app. Much easier all around. 🙂

I would have thought you'd get your tickets electronically basically at time of booking since you need them to make a park reservation?

Have you already booked?

Yep, we're booked and I have my park reservation emails with a QR code but no actual tickets.

Booked through who?
Look through all your paperwork/emails and see if any E-ticket numbers in there. If not, follow up with them and request the ticket numbers. You can use those numbers to add tickets to your App/Disney Account. You don't need the barcode, it just makes it easier.

Got my answer: I'll get an email 4 days before arrival that has my ticket numbers on it. Then I can link them in the app and try for boarding passes at the airport. Of course with my luck I'll end up snagging boarding group #2 or something like that.

Just out of curiosity, why are you getting your park tickets 2 months from now in August when you booked in June?

Have you paid for the tickets yet or will you get charged for the tickets only 4 days before you're set to arrive?

Not OP but this is how I have been told it works with packages from Costco also. I was able to make park reservations as the ticket type is tied to my reservation, but the tickets do not show as linked. In order to link them I need the code from the tickets themselves, but I don't get that until four days prior to check in. Yes, I paid for them in full at the time of booking (it was due 30 days out). From the confirmation:

"Your Disneyland Resort tickets and digital vouchers for Magical Extras will be available to access 4 days prior to your arrival. You will need to visit My Hotel Reservations or visit disneyland.com, open the My Disneyland drop-down menu and select "My Hotel Reservations". Login or create an account to download or print before arriving at the Resort."

I'm annoyed, but as long as I can link them a few days before things should be fine, as I was able to make park reservations at least right away. The only thing I can't do is practice getting a BG, but honestly that is probably for the best (aren't they "wasted" if its successful?)

Thanks for the breakdown. Bless anyone who goes this route, you definitely have a ton more patience than me.

I'd be a nervous wreck if I paid for the tickets but didn't get them till 4 days before arrival.

They show on my package, I was able to make park reservations (if I couldn't I would have demanded a refund), and I trust Costco. I'm used to everything being digital these days... I don't have a physical airline ticket either but as long as its in the app I figure I'm good to go!
