Board Walk Villa question/Vacuum

We are going to the Villa's in February. We were thinking of getting the space saving bags to pack our luggage, because the cost of extra baggage is so high now. But to use them you need a vacuum that has a detachable hose. I have stayed here many times, but I do not remember if the vacuums in the rooms have them. Anyone know?

I thought the ones I've staye din did have an upright vacuum, but didn't use it so I can't say if there was a detachable hose (I'm thinking No). Ask over on the DVC boards and I'm sure you'll get a definitive answer.

Ziploc now makes JUMBO sized bags, for storage. They are just as good as Space Bags, but you don't have to use a vacuum for them. Simply fill them up, lay them flat, then seal all but one corner. Sit on them to suck all the air out, then slowly roll them from the bottom up, squeezing even more air out. You'll see the bags starting to stick to your clothes the way that Space Bags do. When you've gotten all the air out you can possibly get, finish zipping it closed and toss it in your suitcase! I've got 5 kids as we do this every time we travel. With one Ziploc for each person, I can get all 7 of our clothing in one suitcase!

We also have Space Bags, but they don't work nearly as well. I was always having to re-suck the air out a second time, because the seal didn't seem to keep it all the way out if I packed early.

I am with KibbyCat, the new Ziploc bags that are huge really work well, I think far better than the space saver bags. I can always find them at Wal Mart and Target, but not at my grocery store. I just used them for our most recent trip and they were so nice for saving luggage space. I think I am on my third round with the same bags so they hold up very well.

I have stayed at OKW, BWV, SSR and the Villas at GCH and all of them had upright vacums with no hose attachment.
