BMRR closed until February

Bad news folks, just got done reading an article right here on the DIZ that said that Thunder Mountain will be closed until February 2014 for further renovations. Bummer.....

Word is that they are planning something BIG and the date that some articles are showing got me thinking Disney is just waiting for the right time. Also this new ad campaign leads into it.

Big thunder has been my favorite ride since it opened and I was a kid. It feels like this rehab is taking an entire year... and well its going to be close. I disagreed with a lot of the OCC stuff when they reviewed disneyland. The accident was a contractor not wearing proper safety gear and tying off. I want employees to be safe but OSHA is starting to go down the how to we protect employees who fail to wear and use appropriate safety gear. Its a shame its going to keep BTMR off the map for a few more months. maybe they will be able to add some other extras that got nixed in the planning process due to time constraints. The crane is gone so the big work must be done.
