BMI/United Flight Changes - can you believe this?

the same thing happened to us last October.
We had booked with phileus fogg, bmi flights and connecting flight down to mco.... then it all went wrong
2 weeks before the holiday,(last October) i got the tickets and flight times, the connecting fllight time had been changed, ,they said the flight to mco had been cancelled as they hadnt enough passengers to go on it???
They said they had informed me of this in august.. which wasnt true. even so how would you know that there wernt enough passengers to go on the connecting flight 2 months before the flight??? They had put us on the next flight .. which meant that we were sat in washington airport for 7 very long hours. we didnt get to mco til midnight and then we had to wait in the alamo queue for over an hour as they had only 3 staff on...as you can now pick your own car with them, by the time we got to the counter all the intermediate cars had gone, and we were left with a compact.
I did though go to 1 of the alamo places a couple of days later on i drive and change the car to the intermediate.
I hope you do get your flights sorted out. If not ask them to re book you with another airline at no cost to you.

I would think carefully about transferring to US Airways. We changed from them to BMI because of all the problems.

It appears the federal judge has ok'd financing through to June and it will be reviewed. This is from a good source although there is nothing on CNN as yet.

Good news! Got a message from Airline Network this afternoon (after hassling them a bit this morning!) to say that BMI had agreed to a full refund. I have just confirmed US Airways flights via Expedia (Airline Network couldn't get as good a deal) although it is more expensive than the BMI flights. We are Frequent Fliers with US Airways and they have treated us very very well in the past. We don't get the 2 days in Washington but we get to spend 2 more days in Orlando instead. Thanks for all the help and messages of support.
