Blue Sky Cellar ~ Pictures!!!

I'm so excited for this. I've been constantly saying that DCA has no girth or theme to it, and I feel like with this huuuuuge $$$$ facelift, I'll be more content :)

I'm REALLY looking forward to the new Little Mermaid ride, not to mention the new water show they're making... so excited!!

Of course, this just means that DCA will be waayyy outta commission in the years to come to make room for all this

OooOOo !!

Thanks for posting!

I saw the video that my cousin shared from youtube, but it feels more real to see images that are set up at the park !

I'm excited ;)

What is the ride thats in place for the maliboomer? I see some sort of ride there in the 1st picture. It alsomt looks like a pirate boat. Any ideas by people whove been there?

I thought that it was suppose to be themed for Goofy, but that was what I head awhile ago. :confused3

I'm very excited at the changes coming to DCA. I love the Buena Vista entry street, the new hub, trolley cars, the Carthay, etc. -- very nice, classic Disney feel. PERFECT re-do for DCA.

However, I'm still disappointed in the re-theming of the Mulholland Madness... that ride should come out completely in place of something more "Disney". While the new overlay for the swings is nice, I also feel they could do better with this valuable real estate... we can ride this at any Carnival. Same thing with the new Parachute Drop in place of the Maliboomer (although, understandably, there's not much you can do in that space.) The Paradise Pier has never done it for me, and even though the new theming is very nice, the carnival games, etc. are just a waste of space in my opinion.

Cars Land is going to be real nice, but again, aside from the amazing E ticket here... more waste of valuable real estate with D ticket attractions ported over from other parks. Is the Pixar movie "Cars" really that much of a classic that it can sustain it's own Land at a Disney park?

Don't get me wrong... they're doing great things at DCA, I just feel we need more quality, classic Disney attractions. Would have LOVED to see Western River Expedition in DCA... that would have been DCAs 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.

The big change I'm NOT happy about is that it looks like they will be taking out the blue wave fountain and the huge golden sun. That is absolutely beautiful, a real piece of art, and I wish there was a way they could fit it into the Buena Vista street theme they have envisioned for the entrance area. :sad1:

I completely agree with you on this, Hester.
I'm really excited about all the other updates to DCA, but I always questioned Cars Land... I don't feel like this movie has really "deserved" a whole land to itself, you know?

Cars doesn't necessarily do Disney justice for me... A ride, possibly, but not a land.

I asked a CM about the attraction was where the Maliboomer was standing in the model, and she said that it was actually the Jumpin' Jellyfish. Since the model cut off at a certain point, they stuck the Jumpin' Jellyfish where the Maliboomer is/was. She said they don't know if they're going to put an adult version of the jellyfish there or make it a sitting area.

I absolutely loved going to the Blue Sky Cellar!

I happen to LOVE cars and watch it often...probably because my son and DH insist on it lol But I think a land will be nice...it may not appeal to most adults but most lil kids (most boys) seem to love this movie :)

I can't wait until all the changes are made! This is very much needed!!! Glad Disney finally realized it and is stepping up!

Currently it's going to be a parachute drop ride. Similar to the Jumpin' Jellyfish, but bigger and themed differently.

There's not much you can do in that space, and I actually commend them for using it at least.

I am so excited looking at those pics. DCA will be really nice in a few years.
